Which Browser are you using? Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari or any of the other browsers out there. For that matter are you on PC/Phone/tablet. Also Are you logged in? Do you have a subscription or are you free account ? There are a lot of variables here and we can't just assume what you might be using.
it keeps telling me theres an error whenever i try to make a character... help?
i can't make a new character and the premade ones you can choose from won't show up. i just joined today, so is this a maintnence thing or something?
Are you using a VPN? Do you have any browser extensions? If so try turning them off and see if it works.

VPN=virtual private network. They have been known to cause problems with the DDB site.

I'm On Chrome, Using My School computer
SInce you are using your school computer, it is possible they have some safeguards in place that are getting in the way.
