I have purchased some full source material - DMG, MM and Out of the Abyss. However when attempting to use the character builder, none of these books show up and do not populate, it just remains the SRD. Any information as to why this could be?
Now that I think about it: you bought DMG, MM and OotA, which do not give any character options.
If you search for an item in the Inventory, be sure that your character is proficient with that item, otherwise you need to uncheck the 'Proficient' tag in the Add Item section.
I just purchased the Samurai subclass, and it's not showing up on the character generator. I'm new to D&D Beyond, and D&D in general. Anyone have any insight into this issue? I have already tried clearing out my cache.
So according to the Fighter class entry in the rule book, at level 3, they choose a martial archetype from among many, one of which is the Samurai. It's not something you can explicitly choose your class to be during character generation, though it is available to choose from the Martial Archetype drop down box upon reaching level 3, provided you have purchased it. Just thought I'd share the info I've learned with other newcomers to the D&D universe. Thanks for the suggestion anyway, ArwensDaughter.

Generally, it is a cache problem. Try to refresh and/or clear the cache.

Can you try a different browser? If that doesn't work, contact support. They handle all purchase issues.
