I'm making an Excel spreadsheet for DM tools, complete with a monster database. I want to add hyperlinks within the Excel spreadsheet to the monsters on the D&D Beyond website that I have purchased, but some of the links just direct me to sources on the marketplace.
I'm experiencing the same issue. Only the links to monsters work correctly. Any links to any source books guide me to the marketplace site - even though I've used the link to the source.
Anything being done about this issue? I'm logged into D&D beyond and have bought all the contents I try to access & can access them through dndbeyond manually.
This is an issue with excel rather than DDB. The way excel opens links into your default browser means that cookies, such as those for logins, aren't loaded correctly. I believe it's got something to do with loading the link in edge first within excel then switching to your default browser. So by the time the link is passed to your default browser, instead of being the link you clicked, it's the redirect link that was resolved in edge.
Unfortunately I've not been able to find a solution other than setting edge as your default browser and logging in on that (which is hardly a solution)
I don’t think there is anything that DDB can do about it, as my understanding is that it is an issue with how Excel (and/or Word) handles links. There are other threads about this issue floating around here somewhere that provide more details about what is happening.
It may be a bit late, but I came about this thread whil trying to do a similar thing in Word (making a digital DM screen) I tried out the links and they did the same thing. After I read that the issue seems to be with Word/Excel I tried exporting the File as a PDF (which I was going to do anyway) and it worked.
TLDR: If you can export as a PDF try that, it worked for me.
It's much, much later (sorry all), but I wanted to share that the Export to PDF solution worked for me. Thank you very much, Niclas_St!
I have been having this problem with Word and Google Docs and other sources too. Found this thread while looking into it, and the PDF solution does seem to work. Thanks again!

For example, I own the Tales of the Yawning Table content. I want a link to the animated table (which is part of this content). But instead when I click on the hyperlink "https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/animated-table" it instead directs me to "https://www.dndbeyond.com/marketplace/source/17". Can anyone help me out?

e.g. https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/wdh/introduction#FamiliarFaces takes me to https://www.dndbeyond.com/marketplace/source/waterdeep-dragon-heist#FamiliarFaces instead.

Found the thread I mentioned! It’s here. Basically the problem is that the way excel handles these kinds of links essentially strips the cookies out.
