I noticed today that when I clicked on the adventure Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus, it opened up the book and I've seemingly had full access to it. I have the book in my cart but have not purchased it yet. I'm not sure if this is a bug or some sort of trial preview feature so I'm reporting it in case it is some mistake.
Are you currently in a campaign with content sharing enabled? If so you would have access to the compendium of every book owned by everyone in the campaign.

Are you checking the Contents page or actually clicking on other pages?
You can view the Contents page of any book, even if not purchased. Clicking on any other page takes you to the marketplace if you haven't purchased it or don't have it shared with you.
If you can click on other pages and read them, then somebody has enabled content sharing in a campaign you're in.

Hello there!
Thank you,
Keira

I have no idea why I didn't think about this but I'm sure it's content sharing now that I think about it. I appreciate the help!
