Desktop, or Mobile in Landscape Orientation at 50% Zoom
Mobile in Portrait Orientation or Landscape at Normal (75%—100%) Zoom
Hey there site design team persons,
Now, I’m fairly familiar with this site (been known to use it once or twice). And I’m very used to holding my phone in either landscape or portrait orientations as best suits whatever I’m doing at the time. I got some pretty acute peepers (20/15 vision not to brag), and usually keep my browser zoomed out to 75% so I can fit more on my screen since I can even read regular text at that zoom level without issues. But even I gotta say it’s kindofa pain in the rear end navigating to your dratted Maps app. Especially when my players can’t even use the gorram thing unless I’m on it, which is terribly inconvenient for PbP games, which are the only games for which I actually need to use the darned thing. I end up having to:
View a map in the “Spectators’ View”
Screenshot the thing
Edit it to crop out everything else in the image
Go to a completely different frickin’ website to host said image
And then I can finally come back here and post the image of your silly map so my players can see it
All of that👆comes after I had to rotate my device and zoom my browser out so far I gotta be careful what I’m tapping, then navigate to the map I need, and then zoom the heck back in again to actually use the thing.
So, you think youse all could possibly see fit to, y’know, at least make it a li’l easier to access the maps system, seeing as how I gotta jump through all those hoops to use it? Maybe just a tiny, wee bit? Like, y’know, stick a button for it in the dropdown for your mobile users. Just puttin’ that out there…. I mean, shoot, you got buttons for Encounters in there under both Collections and Tools. You got a button for your flippin‘ imaginary dice in the dropdown for cryin’ out loud. How’s about one for Maps too, hunh?
Wadaya say folks? Can ya help a Master Tier Subscriber out? I’d surely ‘preciate it.
