Same here Wayne. I have groups on both StartPlaying and Roll20 who are as excited as I am, and now you and I and all of our players are left waiting. Granted, it's just another two weeks, not that bad. But the deceptive advertising is just uncalled for and, frankly, juvenile.
It does say the digital order will get the same benefits after it talks about the early release being 'Expanded to include' the physical bundle. Which also implies that digital only would get it.
If that were not the case why didn't they correct screen rant earlier. A revision can't come out now.
This is a stuff up and they need to correct it.
If necessary you should contact the equivalent of Fair Trading after making a complaint.
100% - were I to know that this would not be the case, WOTC would not have received my money until general release, and then it would have likely been through a FLGS. This sadly is looking to be deceptive practices unless they correct this with haste.
This is absolutely a case for Fair Trading if they choose to continue with the silent treatment that I've been getting for the last several hours. I'm really not the sort of person to make complaints such as this - but it was absolutely stated and something I double checked at the time to ensure that I didn't get burned. This could be my first and only preorder with D&D Beyond.
At this point, I think I am going to just request my refund. I'll wait until I get my alternate print hardcopy but this is insane. I always heard how WotC tripped over themselves, but never really experienced it until today. I have tried to reach out for support, checked all their socials.... nothing. Even the mods in here have gone silent.
Is it really that much of an issue to just say, "Hey, we messed up our advertising on this, but we are excited for you all to experience this adventure we have been hyping up for our 50TH YEAR CELEBRATION....
soooo im in europe and i still don't have access although i did purchase in the new store front... however i purchased expressly to have the early access.
It very much was part of the original blurb that you got early-access in the original blurb for just the digital purchase and now once again, WotC is messing me about.
Also just why? like what are they actually losing here? i've given them my money, why not just give me access to a book ive paid for?!
Honestly ever since this site got bought over by WotC its been nothing but one issue after another with absolutely shocking customer support and service.
I either want access to the book ive bought or i want my damn money back, its really that simple!
I've had better luck in the Discord, but not everyone uses Discord. The next time I reach out, it will be to request a refund and close my account on dndbeyond. Downloaded all my character sheets today just in case this isn't resolved. They are not making me want to spend 60 dollars for the privilege of witnessing this mess.
Been blasting this on socials now, because they are not communicating on here but nor there either. Insanely horrible PR and marketing through and through.
assuming this legit is false advertisement, wotc could potentially be sued. not sure courts would take it seriously though. i dont plan on it btw lmao im in ******* college
I am not a pile-on type person, but I am a pro DM and I was 100% certain that by purchasing the digital version that I would have early access on the 7th. Since I have that WEIRD thing where I can see the table of Contents, I will assume that this is just a roll-out issue.

Seeing the table of contents is a thing for ALL content on here. Anything you dont have purchased you can see the tables, but not the content in them
Another thing to note to is that I am seeing NOW that early access was only available to those who got the physical and digital bundle.... However, even youtuber 'Gamemasters' preordered not just the bundle but the digital on top of the bundle.
I'll go ahead and throw my hat in the ring, same thing. I prepurchased the adventure and paid for a year subscription solely due to the fact that we would get it on May 7th. Terrible business practice by WotC again. Hopefully they fix it.

Once again, the common man loses out.
It was definitely for the digital bundle too.
Everyone should keep this linked.

personally i think we should all be publicly demanding refunds, thats probably the only way to get them to give a damn

WOTC is really determined to screw up EVERY possible opportunity to generate good-will, huh?

Where at? I'd like to enjoy it while I angrily clench my mugged wallet via WotC.
right here on twitter
ah, I was hoping for something right now but all good. Maybe someone will leak the PDF before then
sorry to disappoint but it goes to show where their priorities are

oh but joyous day they remembered to give me my digital dice. how considerate.

I may have misread it only being a bundle early access thing, but I am not sure as to why we are getting no communication on this. I feel like I am not alone feeling cheated like this, but I hope that these woes are addressed from someone, and it is made right.
