Are you sure you selected the 2014 version of the Wizard and not the 2024 version (or vice versa)? When you select the class the dropdown has sections and the top section ""Core Rules" is for 2024 versions. If you scroll down there is a "2014 Core Rules" section for the 2014 versions of the class.
Also, do you have access to the other subclasses - have you bought them or having them shared with you and making the character in those campaigns where the sharing is enabled?

Thank you for the reply. I just checked again and yes so have all those selected. I am only able to choose evoker for core and 4 2014 phb schools and then the extras like scribes, war
If you selected Wizard (the 2024 one), you'll need the 2024 PHB in order to select its Illusionist subclass.
If you selected Wizard (the 2014 one), you'll need to have the 2014 PHB in order to select its School of Illusion subclass. You'll also need "2014 Core Rules" enabled for that character before you can select this class and subclass.
If you don't own either book yourself, then your character needs to be assigned to a campaign where that book is shared with you.
You purchased the book yourself? Does it show on this page under Current Product Licenses? Does this page say your Account Entitlements are in sync? https://www.dndbeyond.com/account/licenses
Can you share a link to your character? Please make sure in your character settings that Character Privacy is set to Public, too.
I have legacy and core rules selected yet do not have access to half the original schools like illusion. Why are they not appearing?

Checking again, I own the 2014 core in library and selected it for character but still can’t choose Illusion. Anyway to turn off 2024 core?
