Rolling doubles was also happening to me and I found out that I had the "Luck" box checked in the Roll Buff/Debuff drop-down. Not sure if that's the same for everyone, but that's what was causing it for me.
Also, a new bug just started tonight for me: the rogue Reliable Talent is being applied to my attack rolls for some reason. If I turn off Reliable Talent, it stops applying it to my attacks.

Weird stuff!
D&D Beyond's dice roller doesn't have a "Roll Buff/Debuff drop-down", or any support for Reliable Talent at all, so both of those issues are probably from a third-party extension like Beyond20.
I'm not even using the dice roller but simply having 2 character sheets open causes the browser gpu process to jump from 300mb to over 2gb with spikes to 7gb! This is just idle in the background. I noticed it first in chrome, but reproduced it on a fresh install of vivaldi with no extensions. It is essentially unusable.
The standalone character sheet still gets incredibly laggy after having it open for awhile - like 5 minutes or so. However, using the sheet through the side frame of the map seems to work fine for the entirety of an encounter.
I’m currently unable to roll ability scores using the dice roller in D&D Beyond. When selecting the “Roll” option, nothing happens—no dice roll is generated. This issue persists across multiple devices, different browsers, and even a separate PC, so it doesn’t appear to be a local issue on my end. Troubleshooting attempted: refreshing the page, logging out and back in, trying multiple browsers, and testing on another machine. No success so far. I want to be clear—I’m a Master Tier subscriber, and it’s frustrating to be unable to use a core feature like ability score rolling, especially when it’s a fundamental part of character creation. Is this a known issue? Is there a current outage or bug affecting dice rolls? Are there additional steps I should try? I’d really appreciate any guidance or visibility on this. Thanks.
Dice are working fine on my end, regardless of whether shared dice are turned off or on.
Seems to not be universal.
iOS does seem to be the most problematic OS for these issues, tho.

You are correct. I actually didn't realize I was using an extension until you said something. Thanks!

I've had this problem a few times and it can be complex to fix. I wrote how to fix it here:
