Can you please confirm if you had both a maximum and minimum CR option selected, or only a minimum? When only having the minimum CR set to 2, it will search for all creatures from that CR and higher (based on the other filters, Fey in this case). In order to limit the search to just creatures of CR2, I'd need to have both the min and max CR value set to this number.
when searching for CR 2 monsters with the fey type the green hag (which is CR 3) apears
Strange I put a CR between 1 and 2 the green hag does not appear.

Yep. If you set 2 in the first box and nothing in the second, the monsters are searched from CR 2 up.
If you put 2 in the second box and nothing in the first, the monsters are searched from CR 2 down.
Setting 2 in both, the search is limited only for monsters with CR 2.
