I am having a similar issue. I built a subclass of Paladin for my campaign. The homebrew content is turned on, the character is at level 8, the hombrew is in my collection. It is also set to private and not public but I should still be able to use it. I gave it nearly a half an hour to see if it becomes available and it still is not accessible. All the criteria for me to access it is met so I would like to know what the problem is. Seems to be a recurring issue for a lot of people and should possibly be addressed with the dndbeyond crew.

Please post a link to your homebrew so a moderator or staffer can look into it for you. They can even look into it if the homebrew is not published. Also, please post a link to your character sheet. With those two things, one of them should be able to tell you what’s up.
I've created a homebrew subclass for my monk but I can't find anywhere to add it to my character sheet.
To answer questions I know will come up: Yes, home brew options is turned on. Yes, the subclass is in my collection.Yes, my character is high enough level (currently level 8).

What am I missing? TIA
You go to the Character Builder, Class section, and under Monk in the Class Features tab, you'll see Monastic Tradition. Your homebrew subclass should show up in the dropdown.
If you're still having trouble, post the url to your character sheet so someone can take a look.

Raise and lower the character’s level to force a re-cache

I have tried that unfortunately. It just says the Way of the Shadow and then if I go to the Optional Feature menu it says I don't have access to them unless I homebrew or buy in the marketplace. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm hoping to avoid doing that simply because I have a lot of information on there now and it seems like a hassle to re-input all of the stats and such. But as a last resort I'll do that, thanks!

Bumping them up 1 level and then back down won't affect anything with your current stats. But if you're especially concerned, you can go to the character sheet, click twice in the Inspiration box, and then reload the page - that also forces a re-cache.

You won’t have to do any of that (just note the XP before you do it so that ends up correct. When you increase a character level it doesn’t automatically add a level to any class. It won’t actually affect anything other than possibly the XP if you use that instead of Milestone leveling. What it will do is force the character sheet to update its cache and update to all current information such as your homebrew. You should be able to add it after that.

Ok, so funny story.... I was looking in the wrong place. It seems that the only way for me to select it though is to change my monastic tradition. It just happens that I've been given a second tradition in game (found magical tome, yadda yadda). But I think I have a work-around. Unless the brilliant hive mind knows of something that I'm missing? Thanks for all the advice and help y'all!
The only workaround I can think of is to use your original tradition as a template and then add your homebrewed one to it and select that Franken-subclass for your character. But I feel compelled to point out that having two subclasses for the same class is expressly prohibited RAW for game balance purposes.
I believe this is simular but i found this really cool homebrew subclass and i want to use it but i cant seem to use it cause i choose the same base class as it says to but it says i dont have any sub classes i can choose from.

Did you add that subclass to your homebrew collection? Did you activate homebrew content for that character as shown in the image below?
Thanks

I have a wizard subclass that isn't working
In what way(s)? “Isn’t working” isn’t a whole lot to go on.
