I did a quick search and I couldn't find anything about this, so sorry if I've missed it. So I've uploaded a race, mainly because I was bored and I wanted to see if it actually worked. Well, it did, and now I've gone and made a problem for myself.
Now I have a better understanding of balance than I did during the initial upload, and there are a few minor adjustments I'd like to make to it. Is it possible to have the race taken down or replaced? Thanks.
If you hit "create new version" and upload that, it will replace the existing version. The old version will still exist, but the new version will be in front.
This is because other users can add public homebrew and use it - once that happens, D&D Beyond cannot allow the author to edit or delete that content, as it could change/wreck someone else's character.
As advised above, the correct action is to view the page for your published content and click on the new version button. You can change the name when editing the new version and it will still be linked to the old version.
I've revised the races and sub-races, but now the revised sub-races appear not to be linked to the revised race. Must I re-create the sub-races under the revised race or is there a way to link these up?

once you've published content, it stays published (unless it breaks the homebrew rules & guidelines) and cannot be edited.
