I've created a campaign a few months ago just using the free content, now I've just bought the players handbook but I cannot add PHB backgrounds to the old characters. I cannot see the enable shared content on my campaign options.
I'm having troubles with the homebrew race and class sharing.
my DM has a few homebrew races that he has shared with his 3 campaigns (which I am in all 3) and none of the characters I try and make can have these as an error occurs whenever I select them.
I don't know where the problem comes from as all of the other players can use these and I can use my own homebrew races.

Any idea?
If you don’t have a Master Tier subscription, you cannot enable shared content. If you personally bought the PHB on DDB, and you cannot add PHB backgrounds to characters that belong to your account, then you have encountered a bug. How are you trying to change the background?
It would also help if you would post a link to an affected character.

If these homebrew elements are published homebrew that the DM has added to their collection, then you are experiencing a known bug with sharing published homebrew in campaigns.
If the homebrew elements are ones your DM created themselves and didn’t publish, then something else is wrong. Are your characters actually IN those campaigns?

The link below belongs to one of the characters of my campaign. Just for the record after I created the characters for my players. All of them created an account on dndbeyond and claim the character.
i am having a similar issue to this where players in my campaign dont have access to all the races, backgrounds, and sub classes that i do despite having the dungeons masters sub and content sharing enabled. i can go into their player sheets and add it myself but they are unable to see the content and add it themselves without my intervention. is there a setting im missing?
Turn content sharing for the campaign off and back on again.
Have them log out and back in and then wait another 20 minutes and see if it clears up.
Have them check if they are running any browser extensions, adblockers or VPN. Those can often give the character sheet indigestion. Especially since the last update a couple days ago.
I have a similar issue.

Thank you, I have made sure all these characters are in the campaigns and it won't let me use the content he has added from published content.
Is there a way to fix this on my own or do I have to wait for it to be fixed?
