Just a heads up that some of the ads are causing deceptive pop ups to appear like this one https://imgur.com/gallery/q8b43px. Thankfully players are still willing to use it, but I can see this causing issues of it keeps happening, especially if it pops up when they are trying to look at something in the middle of a session. Not sure if anything can be done, but wanted to bring this to the attention of the devs.
And you are sure this is from a D&D Beyond ad and not malware on your device? And you weren't using a proxy to access the site?
I don't think D&D Beyond are deliberately choosing ads like this but if they are, they're going to lose a ****ton of customers due to this being a malicious ad that will utterly ruin them if they chose to use these. More than likely the ad service they use ended up having a bad ad slip through the filters and end up popping up. D&D Beyond should be able to report this ad to their ad service and have it blocked or if the ad service refuses they can choose a different ad service.

To be clear, it wasn’t me this was happening to, it was one of our players. I have master tier and share everything with our group. I’m also the advocate for DDB at the table.
The website safetyvpn is where the ad was trying to direct the player. This is on mobile on iOS, so I don’t think this is a malware issue. I believe it’s one of the ads on the network they use.
I have no doubt the team wouldn’t willingly choose this ad and I’m hoping they can find a way to get this one out of there. The ad looks like malware and it also takes the player away from the site, which is a pain.

You sure it's not from the VPN you're using? safetyvpn? Never heard of that.
