I'm having the same error. Cleared cache, reset router, restarted router, used a different browser. I can't edit, create, or delete or otherwise interact with any of my characters/creations.
I'm trying to create a new character, or rather recreate an old one because he died, got deleted, and my dm just told me he is not actually dead and is now part of a encounter for later. I'm trying to create the sheet but when I go to pick the method of how I'm making the sheet it takes me to an error page and the error code is never the same. It doesn't matter what method I pick, I've cleared my cache like other threads suggested, I've logged out and back in multiple times, my laptop doesn't have a problem, everything is up to date; does anyone have a another suggestion of what to try or a clue as to what's causing the bug on the website?
update: It won't allow me to edit older characters either, so I can't copy one to simply make the necessary changes.
The only reason I joined this site was because someone told me it was handy for all sorts of D&D stuff. So, when I join and am promptly greeted by an error message for the one thing I wanted to use (character creation) I was a little irate, but then I go to these forums to try and fix it and lo' and behold it's been an issue for months.
If this problem isn't rectified then I see no other option but to bail on this site.
For months? This problem is only hours old. There may have been a similar problem months ago, but it has been fixed and working for all of the time in between.
With this being a digital service, sometimes there are technical issues. It is definitely very infuriating when it happens while you are trying to play or prepare for a game, but it is usually solved in less than a day, and is a very convenient service the other 99% of the time.
It sucks that this is your first experience with DDB, but I encourage you to reserve your judgment until after the problem is solved.
We understand how frustrating an issue like this can be. Unfortunately the Amazon Web Service was subject to a DDOS attack, which may be directly impacting some of our users.
According to that article the attack ended last night, and I was able to use the site without problems at around 1AM, but the error messages just started popping up again. You might be experiencing a second series of attacks.
For the record. My access is working correctly again. I have been able to access all of my sheets and edit them all morning. Looks like everything is back to normal.
I do suggest to everyone printing your sheets out when the problem is fixed and any time you level up to a level that comes with adding spells or feats. Right now the issue is solved but anymore attacks or bugs without having an export copy saved to your device or printed out will leave you unprepared if it happens during a session. It seems like common sense but some of my groups players refuse to make copies or take notes of important things.

I dont know if the error code means anything to anybody.
I am not experiencing the bug (I dont know what causes it), and I can veiw H311P3R just fine.
Good morning everyone.

You can read more about the issue from this news article.
We very much hope to see the AWS resolve it's issues quickly, so that our users regain full access to all of our site's services.
Thank you very much for your reports.

Same here. Followed the steps. Got access and then minutes later, lost access.

Its odd, I can access other characters in the campaign, but one of them is still not accessible.
Are you the DM or another player? If you are a player, the character you can’t see may be set to private.
