I own a couple of D&D books but I did not buy them off here and I don't want to buy them again. Is there a way I can access these books by like proving ownership or something.

No. D&D Beyond is a separate company and must pay licenses whenever they give you content - if they're getting nothing from you, then they're just losing out.
If you only need some things for use on the character sheet, like a race or feat or something, you can use the homebrew tools to recreate this for personal use for free. This will even be shared with anyone in your campaign if you set up a campaign on here.
Or, if you don't want to spend the time to do that you can buy individual things (a specific spell, or just a subclass) or smaller bundles (spells bundle, races bundle, etc) and anything paid will be a discount off the full book if you do decide to buy it in future.

It is like owning a game on a different console. The only way to get it on a second console is to buy it again.
In this case at least, you can use homebrew tools to add what you want to use manually, or buy it piecemeal for significantly less than a book.
