In the weapons table net has a damage of "-"

But in net's equipment page the damage is listed as "0 bludgeoning"

What is the damage and damage type of nets?

D&D Beyond FoundersThe damage is "-" as per the Player's Handbook and Basic Rules.
However, the underlying system we used to build weapons requires a quantity (that is set to zero).
Please consider this a display issue, where the zero should be read as equivalent to a dash.
If a net is added to a character sheet, even with a bonus to damage, it will still display as doing no damage.

By "no damage" do you mean "0" or "-"?

D&D Beyond FoundersI mean "-" however you wish to interpret that - my own interpretation of this is, "we have omitted an entry for damage for the net, as it does no damage when used as a weapon"
