I am entering homebrew monsters into D&D Beyond and I was trying to add a fly speed to a monster. For some reason, the stat block is not showing "Fly." It shows the speed (100 ft.) but it does not indicate a movement type even though I selected the type when I added it to the stat block in the monster creator.
Hello, community.
I am just reporting the bug.
Thanks.
Did you give it a walking speed? I've heard of this happening when there is no walking speed.
I'll remove the current entries and try putting a walking speed first. Thanks for the tip.
That worked. But the creature doesn't have a "walk" speed. It only floats/flies.
So it's not a bug, but I think it is a minor item to be changed by the developers.
Thanks for your help. :)
The user interface could use a little love, for sure, however all creatures need to have a walking speed, even if it is set to zero.
There are several official monsters that have zero walking speed.
