Thank you for your post - we appreciate people taking the time to give us feedback.
During the beta test of D&D Beyond, we'll only be including content that is freely available from Wizards of the Coast, including the D&D 5th edition SRD , D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, Elemental Evil Companion and potentially others. The beta will not include additional content from a Commercially Released Book, Module or Supplement.
All of the remaining published content from the PHB, DMG, MM and other D&D 5th edition books will be added to D&D Beyond for product release - the cost for accessing this material has just been announced.
You will only be able to access the content that is free in the SRD unless you have purchased the corresponding rulebook for your account.
To gain access to more feats you can: (1)buy the players handbook, (2) purchase just the specific feats themselves from the marketplace, (3) have your DM share their purchased copy through the Master tier subscription.
Different bug/issue. I can see/select all the various feats in the character creator. But is when creating a homebrew magical item, adding a Feat is broken. You can select Feat from the first dropdown but then the list of actual feats will not load.
Also, is there a way to just customize / houserule a character by adding a feat?
The variant human only has two starting feats: grappler and some deep gnome magic thing. Is this how it is supposed to be?

Wait, it's still allowing you to choose the gnome feat? I thought that'd been fixed.

I think it got unfixed in the last character builder update from dev.
It should be fixed in the build that will be pushed out prior to launch though.

Wary the wizard who focuses on homebrew, for he can create nightmares that you wouldn't even dream of
I have still this problem. Only 2 feats

I thought the gnome feat was part of the Elemental Evil Players Handbook. In which case it would be free :P

i bought all three core manuals: Player, Master and Monster's one. But the race "Human Variant" has access only to these 2 feats. is that normal?
Thank you!

Not of yet, but there have been several requests. Homebrew races, classes, backgrounds, feats, is all nonexistent
