While building an Artificer, I noticed that several weapons are missing the Ammunition property and aren't counted as viable options for the Artificer's Repeating Shot Infusion. The Gunslinger's firearms, to be specific. I'm certain that they should have the Ammunition property or at least be compatible with the Repeating Shot Infusion.
They don't have the ammunition property (the chart lists all their properties). And Matt Mercer has not issued any errata (afaik) to make them compatible with that infusion.
Yep, regardless of what the description text says, the guns themselves are lacking the Ammunition property, thus as currently written, they are not valid targets for Repeating Shot.

But they use ammunition. As such, they should have the ammunition property. That's why it exists.
But they weren't given the ammunition property in their source reference material, so they don't have it. Nothing can be done here. Try tweeting Mercer.

I literally had this argument a few days ago.
the weapons themselves do not possess the Ammunition weapon *property.* So, DnD Beyond will not allow them to be targeted by Repeating Shot, which looks specifically for the weapon *property* of Ammunition, as mechanically defined by the Player's Handbook. Until Mercer confirms "oh shoot, yes, they are supposed to have the Ammunition Property and be targeted by Repeating Shot," they are not valid targets outside of homebrew.

In fact, part of me suspects that’s the exact reason he chose not to give them the Ammunition property.
