It doesn’t quite work the way you’d expect it to, but you can add custom equipment and for homebrew weapons custom attack actions to make this work.
On the character sheet, on the equipment section there is a button called “Manage Equipment.” If you hit that button, you can add custom items.
For custom weapons, this is harder but possible. I added my weapon first as a custom attack with all the settings (dice number and size, proficiency, etc) and then added a custom item simply for the weight.

I found a homebrew article about hidden blades and I want to incorporate it into the game but I don't know how to add weapons to my character that aren't already listed. I have homebrew turned on for the character but it doesn't appear to work

+1 for the ability to add custom non-magical items.

I would definitely love to see mundane, non-magical Homebrew items as well.
count me in for custom non-magical items and weapons.
Another bump for homebrew non-magical items & weapons
Also very interested in non-magical item/weapon homebrew creation!
Also interested in creating non-magical items.
Sidenote - anyone have any idea how I can add a tag like "Arcane Focus" to an item like "Staff of Adornment"?
Would love to see this as well.
Jumping on the bandwagon!
I’d love to add Aurora’s to my campaign catalog, as well as goods & gear...
Another bump for creating mundane items/weapons/armors with the appropriate tags and rules applied.
You can customize any item by changing its name and weight so the feature is basically already in the game if you are willing to copy and paste.

-Did you create the homebrew yourself on DDB, or did you find it in the published homebrew listings here?
-If you found one that someone else published, do you have a Hero or Master Tier subscription? Did you add the item to your collection?
It may help if you post the link to your character and to the homebrew in question. Then the mods can take a look.

I want to make custom non magical homebrew arms and armor in DnDBeyond for my players. Like a shield with +1 ac instead of +2 ac.
So I am having some difficulty removing an item, see other thread https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/31919-cant-remove-a-homebrew-race
I havent heard back from anyone on how to remove something that appears to be stuck in my homebrew section.
Definitely jumping on this thread as well! Need me some non-magical homebrew items. +1 to Basic.
Basic items are very important! Bumpity bump.
Bumpity bump - this is really important.
Bumping for non magical homebrew items as well!
Why have no mods hit this? It seems like a basic functionality question.
