as mentioned in the title. Both are spells listed under the wizard's spell list and the description is the same. Is this intended or a bug? Listing it here in any event.

This is intended. One "tiny hut" is from the SRD. Leomund's Tiny Hut is from the PHB. So both spells are included. There will be more that you will find that one, including acid arrow and melf's acid arrow.
As a Feature Request, I guess, I would like to see the generic SRD versions (of spells and items) be overwritten and removed by the PHB/DMG paid/trademarked versions upon purchase.
At no time does any character actually own an Apparatus of the Crab or cast Tiny Hut, in reality, it's always the branded versions. Upon purchase they should be listed as such.
There is already a suggestion in for an option to do that.
The thing that needs to be considered is that some people DO use these items and spells from the SRD and in fact, may do so in campaigns with other players who are using the PHB/DMG versions. Some DMs may also prioritise giving out the SRD versions to such players, as they know that they don't own the books.
I would like to take the opportunity to mention again that Tiny Hut and it's PHB counterpart are written to be from two different schools for some reason, though it makes little sense as they are otherwise identical.

But they are "different" in name only. What I'm proposing is that the items be an alias or the like. If a player doesn't own a book and gets the Apparatus of Kwalish/Crab, it shows up as Crab, when they get the book it's automatically shows as Kwalish. Same with Tiny Hut, etc. If you own the book you see the book/branded name, if you don't, you see the SRD name.
