In my dnd game I use a lot of homebrewed ammunition for arrow types and ive been trying to add them to dnd beyond to make it easier for my players but theres no way of selecting amo as a weapon type,I tried to copy walloping arrows as a templat but they are lsted as a magical weapon with no weapon type and when i try to save i get prompted to pick a weapon type. Is there away arround the other than just treating the arrows as consumables
They're planning on adding ammo into the homebrew system in future, but it's a low priority.
In meantime you can create custom equipment on the sheet to designate the arrows and cost. Even if you reduce to 0 in game, the line itself stays so you don't have to recreate it if you get more.
If you want the sheet to display the stats you can create custom actions on the sheet to show this.
It is not ideal and cannot be shared between players, but it does the job well enough and still better than pen and paper.

Must be a VERY low priority like most homebrew related things have evidently been from my time lurking around here. March 2024, still nothing.
