I create a lot of homebrew. Sometimes, I create a new version of a homebrew (update or correct it). The older versions, although removed from my Collection, still appear for some reason when adding homebrew options in various builders, and **there's no way to know which is the most recent version**.
I understand the difficulty/hesitation of deleting public (shared) content, but I don't see any reason not be able to permanently delete things that are not in use. Certainly seems like a bug rather than a feature.
Things are not in Collection, yet still appear. Various "versions" of content that has been edited and saved several times also show up.
That is a known bug. Lemme guess, you published it, then created a new version to make edits and republished it again. Am I right? Those are the ghosts of the old versions that will haunt your homebrewer forever....
That was why I used to warn everyone to not ever publish anything unless it was already fully playtested and edited. Then people told me they were sick of it and that I should stop.
Edit: Yup, I just checked and the number of appearances in your screenshot match the number of previously published versions.
It's a bug that's been around for a long time, I know. And I hope it soon gets fixed as part of those "quality of life" fixes Adam speaks about in his dev updates.
It's not really a bug. It's there in case you want to use an older version.
Even after you have published a new version, people are free to add a previous version instead. This is also why you cannot delete them - as people may want to, or are already using, previous versions.
Now what would be useful is if it marked it as homebrew with the version details (if edited when making new version) also showed in the list so you can more easily distinguish official and homebrew and if homebrew which version.

I understand people can add previous versions (and the reason these versions are not deleted when they have been added by someone somewhere), but if these older versions are not added to "my Collection" in *my* campaign, there's no reason they should show up in lists when creating/editing my homebrew.
That's a bug, or at least an issue that needs to be addressed.
I know I'm a year and a bit late to the conversation, but given that the problem is still around, I want to share that I found a solution, or at least one that worked for me. If you restore the deleted versions (you can find them by going to your creations and enabling the "deleted" tag), edit them, change their name to whatever, save the changes, and *then* delete them, the website will recognise them as different than the version that is actually usable. From then on, you will only see the version you didn't delete, the one in your collection, the right one. Hope this helps
I repurpose deleted homebrew into new homebrew of the same type, to save on clutter.
The codehead/database-lover in me thanks you so much!

My deleted homebrews is like a graveyard of mangled toys. The way I see it, if they let us permanently delete the stuff there would be no clutter. It’s their policy and system that make the clutter a problem. They don’t want the clutter from all of my experiments, they can add a “empty trashcan” button in there for me then.
I was very excited about this. BUT, for some reason my campaign's characters see Copy of Cure Wounds, but I can't find it in my collection or creations. It shows up in spells lists but not in my lists.
* This spell does not show up on my characters, or for characters in my other campaigns. It is ONLY in that campaign.

Closest thread I could find to what I'm experiencing, so appologies for necro.
But I'm having a semi-similar situation where, I'll make some homebrew, and the decide 'I don't want that anymore' and delete it. But yet, It remains, as I have so many 'Copy of' in my deleted list and I don't know how ot get rid of them, or stop them from showing up.
Furthermore, some of these have been showing up in my lists, when I have homebrew turned off, such as when selecting a spell for fields where I can select 1 from 'all cantrips'

My Homebrew: Magic Items | Monsters | Spells | Subclasses | My house rules

Make sure you're also deleting homebrew you want to get rid of from your collection as well as from your creation content.
Items may still show on manage inventory, but otherwise I've found this solves the problem.

The active one will be the last one in the list.

You cannot permanently delete homebrew. The best you can do is repurpose your old homebrews to make new ones.
