I am the DM for a campaign, and I am being forbidden from editing or even viewing one of my players' character sheets, and I'm not sure why. I've tried logging off and logging back on, but I still get the 403 error code. Can anyone help?
I've tried both. I sent a support ticket in after realizing that I could do so, but I haven't gotten a response yet. It looks like there's a problem with the character sheet, because I asked one of my players to try to view the page, and they also couldn't.
bumping an old post but I'm fairly new to D@D beyond trying to join some friends in the future. I had no issues the 1st time I registered then logged in to the site. I'd go to a home page with all sorts of settings as well as all the other options like marketplace, character creation etc. Now over the last few days, I get that 403 forbidden error asa I log in. It never aske me for my p-word which is odd, just signed in under google from the opening page and landed on the error page. Did you ever get an answer? If so what was the verdict?

This would have been better off as a separate thread, as you issue has a different origin. When did you first log in/register for the site? Your user information to the left of your post says you joined on April 23. If you registered before that, then you have two accounts here--the one you first registered and the one you are using now, and that may be the source of your trouble.
I'm not clear on where precisely you get the 403 error. Clearly you are logged in on an account because you were able to post here. What happens when you go to https://www.dndbeyond.com/account?
Sorry for the slow response, RL was kicking my butt for a few days. I clicked that link you posted and it brings me to my account page and it all seems right. I don't have any duplicate account . As for exactly when the message appears, as soon as I click my browser shortcut, use my google log in and password, the message is there waiting for me(it's rather long and talks about a lvl 403 dragon blah blah but the important message is the 403 error/forbidden. not sure why I get that but I seem able to use everything else as well as access my character sheet, I won't know how else it affects me until I join my group for the 1st time this Saturday May 1st.

My guess is that it is an issue with the url you are using as a shortcut/bookmark. What happens if you set the shortcut to www.dndbeyond.com?
Thank Arwen'sDaughter, that link seems to work better so I deleted the old one and bookmarked the new. Seems to be working like a charm now :-). The error didn't end up affecting my play session with my friends last night , but it's good to have it resolved. Thanks again.
I might be able to help. I noticed that when I clicked on my bookmark for DNDBeyond in Firefox, I got the 403 error. To answer one person's question, it occurs when trying to load the site. In other words, no access to anything. Then I noticed I could get there using Chrome. Hmmm. So I tried typing DnDBeyond.com into the url space for FireFox, and it loads just fine. Somehow the bookmark went bad. I don't know why.

Are you going through My Campaigns to get to the character? Or directly to the sheet?

Are there any alt codes, weird characters or even an apostrophe or space in the name? That could be the cause.
As in the character name? Nothing out of the ordinary; I lost access to the page when another player imported a new character into the campaign.
Yeah weird. I'm at a loss.
No se; I'll just have to wait for the support team to get back to me, I suppose
