Hello, I just thought I'd get thoughts on what people think of an optional rule for sunlight sensitive races like drow and kobold. I find that most of the time I rule it out anyway for my players as the debuffs would just make them not have a fun time, so I think an optional rule for disabling it on the races that use it is a good idea as I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this.
D&D Beyond is a different company from Wizards of the Coast, who make the rules of D&D. DDB cannot make optional rules like this, it would have to be a rule released by WotC for DDB to implement.
You can just homebrew a copy of a race and remove the traits you don't want.
Fair enough, I just figured it's a common enough thing done by DMs that such a rule could be added. After all, DDB does include Matt Mercer homebrew content which isn't WoTC official rules too. (I hope I'm not coming across as too pushy or rude saying that, sorry if I am)
That is because Beyond sponsors the show and made an agreement with them. D&D Beyond cannot, however, change anything published by WotC so such an optional rule would need to come from them.
