You guys should notice that artificer and mystic do not come from the same setting.
Artificer = eberron.
Mystic = darksun.
Knowing that getting both in the same book is almost an utopia !

Wierd cause I know Mearls said Psion would be developed with Darksun and well artificer has beeen repeatedly confirmed by the team to be worked on for Eberron, with it being added to Wayfarer's guide to Eberron. They have not said the same for the Psion so I highly doubt it.

Just need to add more spells that affect thoughts and give it system much like sorcerer or monk ki points and you get a class.
But most of all.... I really really hope they wont give it free casting as well as no drawback like they did in dmsguild. That thing was way too overpowered for my taste.

I was a bit shocked myself. I thought the alchemist was going to be an entirely different class. I had no idea they were going to make it a Sub-Class to the Artificer. Personally, I like the Artillerist. It gives good damaging and defensive spells while allowing you to summon turrets that help you fight. Although an AC of 18 at low levels is a little high imo.
It will take a few working days to get the new Artificer up on D&D Beyond.
It will be announced when it is live though, both on these forums and on twitter.
I'm curious if the team was privy to the information in the class prior to its release to the public today. If so, then "it will take a few working days" implies that it shouldn't be that big a deal to open up homebrew classes. ;)
Supposed to release this week.

I read somewhere in this thread they were in the same book?

Psion is kinda easy to do when you look at it.
Just need to add more spells that affect thoughts and give it system much like sorcerer or monk ki points and you get a class.

Since it came out today, does that mean it's coming here Monday or the following Thursday?
It will take a few working days to get the new Artificer up on D&D Beyond.
It will be announced when it is live though, both on these forums and on twitter.

Wow, I had no idea the Artificer was released today. It looks good. Can't wait to use it on D&D beyond.
Actually was released only about an hour ago. Certainly seems like an interesting direction they're going with it.

Hi all,
there are numerous threads open on this, so we're condensing that down to one thread for the moment, making it easier for everyone to discuss.
