"If the purpose of adding containers is to declutter our inventory, why isn't 'Equipment' at the top and 'Backpack' below it? I put the things I care about the least in my backpack. Why should I have to scroll through those things before I get to the stuff I care about?"
I imagine it's because the headings are in alphabetical order, but I agree: Containers should go below stuff you're carrying in your hands.
Everything is sorted alphabetically. I usually ad the backpack emoji right at the beginning, so instead of starting with the letter “B” for backpack, it starts with “🎒” instead way down below everything else. If you want to move some other contain raw up, I add a blank space at the beginning which automatically bumps it to the top. Unfortunately we cannot edit the name for the “equipment” section for everything that isn’t a container, but as long as it starts after the letter “E” the other containers get filtered below it anyway.
Personally I like having a PC’s case, crossbow bolt / quiver / pouch for sling bullets right up at the top of my character’s inventory to make tracking used ammo easier, and typically a pouch for consumables like potions of healing right below that. Then I like my Equipment, then any other pouches, then my “🎒 Backpack,” and then stuff like a saddlebags last. I know the first thing they are likely not to carry is the saddlebag because the horse is carrying it. Then the backpack would be the next thing likely to be left behind at the inn. Everything else is most likely on my PC’s person at all times whenever they aren’t sleeping or something.

Maybe equipment should be sorted alphabetically by container, except for equipment not stashed in containers.
