I am having the same issue I would like to replace my divine soul spell with another and now I am looking at creating custom feat to add the additional spells to my sorc ... Major headache would love it is I could change in the ui
So there is a dirty hack to do what you're trying to do, which is to duplicate the subclass your player uses, and just add a feature that adds extra spell. You have to select the correct attribute to be used by the spell, select "count as spell known", and either make it consume spell slot or give it a restriction (such as X per long/short rest), otherwise it'll be At-Will.
Once you've done that, just go to their character sheet, and change their subclass to the new "homebrewed" subclass.
If you want to add more than one spells known, you should probably add this option several times. If you trust your players, you might as well just tick the "is infinite" box, and tell them how many spells they're allowed to add.
Here is the configuration for my sorcerer to have more spells known:
The "level divisor" option makes it so they can only add spells of a level they're able to cast.
And here is how I implemented more Mystic Arcanum for a Warlock (in this instance a lv1 Arcanum):
I have been working on adding several spells to my sorcerer from non-sorcerer spell lists.
I have a feat created for her with all the spells included, and she has the feat, but I am not able to find any of the spells in my list of spells to learn.
You have to build an entire custom subclass just to add a spell outside of the standard spells? This is flat-out broken, especially given that some subclasses (like Aberrant Mind) allow you to swap spells--but the character sheet doesn't let you do that.
So subclasses that let you swap spells are broken on dndbeyond.
yep been like that for along time, the only way is to create the subclass, its pretty easy to do.
Admittedly would be nice if the character builder supported the feature but the investment of time is probably not great comparing that they have a multitude of other things to do on the app.
that might be it. just add any spell and then use the Customize feature on your sheet or create a custom spell that is silvery barbs. its the same outcome. just make sure your DM knows that you are using some other spell or a custom homebrew spell as a proxy until you can get the silvery barbs spell.
Yes, but Stormknights comments above were during Gencon last year.

Hi,
I posted the same question a few minutes ago on the homebrew section, here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/44309-add-spell-known . Obviously, I saw this post right after...

Hope this helps.

Thanks in advance for the help!
Please post a link to your character and the to feat (the feat does not have to be published to post, but only a moderator will be able to look at it)

Is there any update on this?
Any update on this? Love to have a guide on how to do this.

Hmm, trying to build a custom subclass, but Silvery Barbs doesn't come up as an option when I try to add a spell to the Psionic Spells feature.
you need to go the psionic spell feature and add the new spell, make sure to set
Thanks. I think I just don't own the book with Silvery Barbs, which is preventing it from showing up as an option. I'm seeing other spells.

Ha! I hadn't thought of making a custom spell to replicate Silvery Barbs. That will probably work, thanks.
