I'm running Descent into Avernus and a member of my campaign is "sharing" his content and books in the campaign. I was thinking that if I'd be able to in the future, have access to the "maps" from his Descent into Avernus digital book, as the DM, to share with the party through maps at some point. That would be really cool. I already own a hard cover book for it the campaign and wanted to incorporate Beyonds maps into the campaign more as we have players whom play with us through google meets. I know that I could save some of the images from the book or online, and upload them into maps. For ease of use though I think it would be cool for campaigns being shared to the dm, the campaign books maps from shared content also be shared through "content sharing" so that the DM can use the campaigns maps for the party.
I would like to know the same thing. Have a member who has all the sources and sharing. Was wondering if I subscribed to their alpha maps if the content sharing would carry over there.
Is this still the current functionality? If so, why? My group already bought Tyranny of Dragons. There’s no reason I as the DM should have to buy it as well if it’s already been shared.
I would also like an answer to this. One of the biggest draws to dnd beyond master tier subs is the fact the whole table can share books. Is this never planning on coming to the maps side of things? I would love to be able to use dnd beyond as my character sheet and online map tool as well. Even just the tokens would help streamline things.

You cannot use shared content (maps or tokens) in Maps

Is that on the road map or just a hard no?
Neither; it's just a statement of the current functionality

My group is wondering this right now. I just submitted a ticket to D&D Beyond Support for details.
Fingers crossed. Will edit my post if I can when I get a reply.
Nothing has changed regarding Maps and shared content. Any changes to Maps are announced through the Changelog

Don't forget maps is in alpha still and they are adding features very regular.
CENSORSHIP IS THE TOOL OF COWARDS and WANNA BE TYRANTS.
Then how do we request for this feature?
Via the Maps feedback portal which is linked via the Maps landing page and the grey tab in the bottom left of Maps itself

My current thing is being able to create a map in someone else's campaign, or sharing my maps so they can use it in their campaign...
Any sign of this?
