I have a dragonic sorcerer with a Silver dragon ancestry(Cold) however, whenever I cast A fire-related spell it applies the elemental affinity damage to the damage roll. When I cast Cold-related spells it does not apply the elemental affinity damage. This has been happening for a few months now. It only rarely applies elemental affinity to the correct element (Cold) without indicating why it suddenly reverts to how it should work.
Given that the functionality you're referring to (adding the extra damage automatically to the roll) is not coming from D&D Beyond and more likely a browser extension you are using (I'd suspect Beyond20), you are better off referring to that extension.
