I am new to DnD Beyond, but I am somewhat astounded at how underwhelming the store is. For example, the digital and physical copies are bundled at 170 USD, but the digital copies aren't bundled and sold separately at 90USD, making the value of the physical bundle 80USD in value, 10USD less. I'm no marketing genius by any stretch of the imagination, but this feels extremely hostile to me as a customer. My bundle options are, 1k, USD, for 44 books, 25USD for 4 books, 500USD for a bunch of other books, and that's it. I find myself not only entirely uninterested in the store but finding myself only wanting to use it for PC creation. I feel like my options are buy everything, buy most everything, buy things you don't use, or buy one at a time. Maybe sales are rotating, but in the meantime all I feel is utter disappointment and disinterest in the store, something I not only did not anticipate while coming in but am utterly blindsided by. I came in thinking "I will likely walk away with a few books and something else" but after three days of looking, I feel zero interest as a consumer.
the cheapest i can fins the physical gift set is 114, so reversing your logic you get the digital versions for 56USD and pay full vallue for the gift set.
If you want it only for character creation you can buy the things you need piecemeal, not even the books but the races/(sub)classes/feats/items

Don't get me wrong, that's fine, but I can easily just, make my own PDF. It being "the cheapest" doesn't make it "cheap" I have also seen the physical copy go for cheaper, but they were on sale. I just don't find myself feeling like buying something piecemeal, I would be using it for both DM'ing and PC. It's expensive for a decade old book that I already own and would not "own" technically on this platform. Digital extinction being a thing and all that. 90 Dollars for buying a set of three is crazy high, but its mainly how the bundle set up is crazy expensive or not what I want. I feel like I not only have no real choices, but instead I have a webpage that was more disappointment then really anything.
Are you looking for the digital options or just book contents?
If you're only after book contents, you can get Compendium Only versions and get all 3 for under $60.

I thought I looked all over the place for different versions and didnt see a compendium. I'll look tomorrow.
In marketplace, click book title, scroll down. Very bottom will be the Compendium Only option.

It's a better price for certain, but I'm hung up on "The Compendium Content bundle does not grant access to all the content's options in the rest of the toolset, such as the searchable listings, character builder, or digital sheet."

That is why it is cheaper. It's just a digital version of the book. No more. no less. If you want the extra bells and whistles then it will cost more.

Thats surprising, that would be closer to what I'd expect for that price honestly.
