I run a campaign in Wildemount and I noticed a while back that some of the noncore D&D content stopped appearing in the search bar results entirely, with no option to enable them. I understand not wanting to confuse some people, but I really wish there was a setting either in search or toggled for your individual account about what results you'd like to show up in search. Given the books themselves can't be searched one by one, searching the whole website is sometimes the only way to get an accurate result or quickly find an entry, and when you DM a campaign in a setting like Wildemount, it would be really helpful not to have to go through each section of a book and manually search through them one by one to find what I'm looking for.
Odd choice of example since Wildemount stuff does come up in searches. It is an official WotC release after all.
But yes, unofficial released third-party content like Tal'Dorei reborn or Humblewood, will not bring up some direct character options, like races or backgrounds and does not search the book content. It would indeed be nice if it did.
That being said, even for actual official book content I find just using Tables of Content > click section > Ctrl+F will often provide me what I need more efficiently and accurately than this site's very underwhelming and often confusing search system. Quite frankly they could have just added a google search bar snippet and it would perform better. 🤔

If this is some kind of setting I can alter on my end, please let me know, I'd love for there to be an easy fix for it. Otherwise??? Yes it very much does happen for Wildemount? Which, as you said, is an official WotC release, but gets filtered out under the "Critical Role Content" toggle in character sheets, and I suspect is getting filtered out of searches entirely because things in the book are straight-up not showing up in my searches.

As a note, not only does my search reflect the same, but EGtW is officially listed as partnered content, not WotC.
I suspect when they redid the partnered content system around here, that the searches got reshuffled. It's a shame the devs don't know how to add a simple toggle to allow 3rd-party content in searches for the main search bar.
