I have not bought anything on DnD Beyond since you guys removed the ability to buy individual spells/subclasses/races etc a la carte from books. I have enough classes and books and subclasses bought from 2014 already that I don't really ever need to buy anything again (and I only have the core 2014 PHB/MM/DMG, tashas and xanathars, and some random bits and bobs from other books really).
I will not buy a whole book as a current player to be able use silvery barbs easily on my character sheet for example. I'm going to homebrew the spell, but I am lazy enough to spend .99 on it in the shop to not have to do that. Heck, I might be willing to pick up a new subclass when my character in our long running campaign inevitably dies.
That's money left on the table.
I can understand if there is an issue regarding a current deal with 3rd partily books showing up now, but at least allow it again for official books.
As someone who would absolutely love A La Carte to return, this has been discussed to death. The linked thread was started in April 2024 - over a year ago. Since that change, WizBro haven't gone back on their decision to remove it, no matter how much fan outrage there has been.
It's most likely has been a business move; the folks in charge probably realised they can make more money from people buying the full books rather than A La Carte. I don't have any figures or sources to back that up, but if WizBro have any idea on how to run a business (and that is questionable - the nicest adjective I can use right now), they would've reversed this decision if it wasn't making them 💲💲💲
I don't agree with it, but at the end of the days, corporation's gonna corp'.

Don't stop asking, they recently added a toggle for the 5.5 rules in the character builder, many said and gave multiple reasons they wouldn't do it. Pester and nag away, and don't listen to the customers saying it will never happen!

Just to add to this, the best way you can voice you displeasure is to vote with your wallet. If lots of people responded by not buying the full price products, that would make WizBro reconsider their stance on removing A La Carte.
As I stated before though, it's been over a year; we've had the release of 2024 products and it seems people are buying them. This tells WizBro that people are happy to pay full price for the products (well, maybe not 'happy', but they're still paying for them). If everyone collectively stopped buying their content when they first removed A La Carte, that would have spoken volumes.
I'm not saying it's impossible to get Wizbro to change their minds - I'm saying it's unlikely as long as their current Marketplace strategy continues to prove to be profitable.
