Yeah, been here a while. I like D&D Beyond for the most part, but there are certainly times where it's a struggle. 😂
I do prefer they just keep the UI as it is. I understand the intention - especially the menus trying to list all the books was getting cluttered and such. But the execution really missed the mark. I also agree with Caerwyn_Glyndwr - there was no need for this UI change but there's a lot of stuff in this site that desperately needs more attention and updating. The time, effort and money spent on a needless UI change could have been far better spent on improving things that need improving. Pretty much every official book with character options and such has something that doesn't work right or hasn't been fully implemented.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Instead fix the things that are still broken.

Personally my wish list there has always been a section for you to 'star' a few books. So you can make sure the most-used by you are easy-access. But they still get the option to promote new books by featuring them.
Also, didn't get to see the change on desktop. (Was a bit busy, hence my initial assumption it was just a mobile change.) But how were monsters/classes/spells accessed? Doing DMing, having quick links to those is quite valuable to me. And from the gif (man I hate gifs for info-dense presentations) I'm not seeing a quick-link to those.
I just hate paying for a product like this website, and having a constant banner at the top acting as an advertisement. It such a waste of screen space especially when I'm trying to use a few smaller windows to compare a few items at once.
I didn't mind some elements of the redesign. The navigation other than around finding your saved homebrew or encounters, was overall better i think. I would also like them to stop burying the 2014 core and bring it to the top so i don't always have to go to my library for it.
