I would like to be able to cast/use spells from scrolls (that you have in your inventory) in the same way as you can cast your regular spells. I guess there would have to be some check involved in checking that you are able to use the scroll, but that should not be to difficult.
As an example, i'm currently playing a low lvl Wizard, and would like to be able to make scrolls of Mage Armor, and then be able to cast/use this scroll, and have d&dbeyond automatically adjust my AC on the character sheet.
So far i have not found a way to get this to work. I can add a scroll in the inventory, and i can modify/customize it to say which spell it is, which helps somewhat for keeping track of which scrolls i have, but there is no way to use/cast it.
Create a homebrew magic item such as a ring and set it to Legendary. Name it something like Mage Armor Toggle.
Have the item Add 3 to AC. (Add Modifier, Type: Set, Sub-Type: Unarmored Armor Class, Fixed Value: 3).
Add this item to your character.
On your sheet for the character go to equipment and add a custom item Spell Scroll: Mage Armor adjusting quantity for however many scrolls you have.
When you play and use a scroll, just reduce the quantity on the scroll and equip the ring. Your AC increases. When mage armour runs out unequip the ring and your AC returns to normal. By putting it at Legendary it will always be at the top of the equipment list so you can easily find it.
