Because amazon uses its own app store that's more closed off than the play or even itunes stores. It could be they don't allow beta apps or maybe it conflicts with some guideline for kindle fire apps.
Not really, all of those companies are very siloed and the Kindle group probably doesn't know the Curse team exists outside of a single line in a quarterly, company wide email.
You can add the play store to the Fire devices pretty easily. It doesn't even require rooting your tablet either. A quick Google search will give you step by step instructions.
Once it is installed you can then easily use it to manage your apps opposed to the Amazon store. Including installing thethe DNDBeyond app

This. Just look into how to sideload the Google play store on fire tablet.
It isn't something the D&D beyond team recommends, but I've been doing it for months will no issues.
Except some people are actually Lawful Good IRL and don't want to circumvent the rules. Getting the app on another store is would be another revenue stream. The big question would be what the opportunity cost would be of putting resources in to the Amazon App store vs. what would be pushed back or pushed off.
Is there any movement on getting the D&D Beyond app into the Amazon appstore? I know we can sideload Google Play to get DDB onto a Fire tablet, but it would be nice to have a native app available.
We want to do this and I imagine we'll see it in 2019. We'll share more as we're able.
Fair enough. Thought it would be better to have one thread then me keep on making new threads asking what is the issue already. I have a friend in the kindle department I should just ask him.

Why isn't there an app for the fire tablets? It would be nice if I could see the actual digital book, and download for offline reference.

You can try and root the tablet if you feel comfortable with it.
It's a bit odd when you think about it.

Any word on this coming to kindle fire?
