Honor and Sanity should be part of the character sheet. If it is an optional rule, then it should be part of the toolset.
The app should give the exact same abilities it does now -- but add in the rest of the dang site. At the very least, it should add in news.
Add in a video feature for communicating with players live -- the whole vtt deal is cool and all, but a video conference ability in the app is kinda super cool.
Mobile devices are being used by those of us with the good fortune of having the ability to get them -- going to PC interrupts the flow of the game.

It would be nice to have the ability to make character profiles available offline, saved to local devices. This service has been nearly unusable the last two days, and if you are relying on it to access your character sheet, having a backup you can access is vital.
I'd really like to be able to organize my characters in some way, even if it's just in folders. I like to create characters as NPCs and enemy templates but it can get out of hand when I want to access one of my actual PCs that's drowning in a sea of NPCs and theorycrafting drafts
I did find that after posting, but it isn't really what I was referencing. Similar to how the mobile app can download source material, I was thinking it would be nice if the same interactive character sheet we are used to could run locally if the servers go down. I have no idea how feasible that is but it seems like something which could be done, though it may require a program to be installed on computers instead of running on a web browser.
I use the search features a lot on DnD Beyond. More and more book come out, but I only own some of them. When I search for a monster, spell or magic Item to use in my game a lot of the suggestions isn't accessible because I don't own the corresponding book and it makes the searching for things to use take longer time. I would really like an easy way to filter the search so I only get results that I can access. That would help a lot. Thanks.
I would imagine these have been brought up a few times but wanted to add my own voice
Export to JSON, we used to have this but it got turned off, it was invaluable for me, as I have dyslexia and have a number of specially prepared character sheets that I could use the JSON to autofill for me.
a BUY button, on the characters, manage equipment sections, it would add the item but reduce your gold by the correct amount. it's a small thing, but a significant user experience. obviously, this would have to also have the Sell, and the Sell (50%) buttons as well. this would make equipment management significantly easier.
Tie this into the campaign where the DM can set an economics factor. Buy at ? x listed rate, sell at ? x listed rate so the DM can adjust settings based on campaign events and setting factors. Players just seew a buy and sell option.
Dearest Wizards of the Coast and dearer still DNDBeyond employees, I have a request: Custom Homebrew Classes.
I know full well this kind of request has been ignored ongoing since DNDBeyonds creation as I have found requests from other users dating back to 2017 repeatedly asking for this feature, but I'll ask again in the wake of the OGL 1.0 kerfuffle. As a Master Tier subscriber myself, I've got all the bells and whistles you have to offer but they're supremely lacking at times, and now with your current knowledge and experience with what the general community wants out of you fresh in mind I request more access to absolute customisation. After all, when OneDND eventually launches I'm sure we will receive rather infrequent if any content will continue to be manufactured by the remaining community.
Custom Classes will allow for more unique world settings to be experienced & interesting mechanics to be played with by player and DM alike, it would also allow for custom classes typically only seen in 3rd party books to debut their content within DNDBeyond. I understand that there may be concerns about 3rd party content creators not appreciating their content being used without permission. To address this, I propose that custom classes be restricted to the creator of the homebrew but be able to be shared through the Content Sharing feature for Master Tier subscribers. This would allow DMs to create custom classes for campaigns and could toggle their accessibility to players.
Regardless I'm sure making a class within the Homebrew Creation System that is accessible to us would be rather tedious and difficult, though I feel it would have an amazing amount of pay off; people love to create and play with their own unique content, and this feature would give them a new outlet for their creativity. I believe it would generally be seen as a good step in the right direction for cultivating content creation and perhaps inspiring people to subscribe, or rather, re-subscribe to DNDBeyond for the sole intent and purpose of creating custom Classes; and of course, Subclasses for these newly created classes would be a given too.
If this request is not feasible, I would appreciate a thorough explanation as to why it has not been a baseline feature for so long. DNDBeyond has added the Artificer and toyed with the idea of adding the Mystic class in the past, I would love and deeply cherish the ability to do the same. Thank you for your time, please continue to make this platform better. Go Beyond.
I'd like to see the Sidekick classes from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything be a selectable class for character building. We're using a couple in our campaign, but we have no easy way to build them as the campaign goes along.
The current Homebrew Creation only allows you to create subclasses, not complete classes. I would like to be able to create and use complete character classes using D&D Beyond's homebrew creation tools.
Love everything else that's already here. I use DDB for everything but I currently have no way to utilize my homebrewed class.
sometimes i wish beyond would actually finish their own system... many magical items that adds stuff do not even add stuff... flame tongue weapons do not add more damage dice. same for basically any weapons this is something Beyond20 extension does a on a daily basis. so one has to wonder how can a simple addons do it, while the official site do not. i just wish beyond would finish their system first.

Super doubtful. DDB has been abandoned, that much is clear. The new OneD&D VTT is where their efforts are focused. Need to monetize the purple fireball effect after all.

I want a new mechanic, for dices, I found that you can get Superior Dices being a fighter by selecting Superior Technique which is D6 and D8 From Battle Masters, Getting different type of dice, can be confusing, by adding a storage for consumable dices like Superior Dice and others specially homebrew one with consumable dice to flesh out, that separate the used one, to those aren't, and can automatically restored base from its restart option (long rest, short rest), can make things easier and a nice mechanic to have around =), also having randomizer is also good.
Can we get the choice of "any" when making homebrew weapons, and armor? This would save time making individual weapons of a variety similar to +1 weapons, corpse slayers, and the like.
There are a lot of similar things in D&D Beyond which exist, but are not allowed to be homebrewed. Making custom race text (humanoid (sandwichfolk)), languages, vulnerabilities, resistances, etc., would really add some extra life to the system
I would love to be able to play a character that doesn't have a class yet (level 0). Honestly, just being able to access the character sheet before selecting a class in character creation would satisfy this request for me. This would be helpful in running through a session 0 with my players and would allow me to create some NPC/sidekick character sheets that don't fit into a particular mold (ie: a noble whose inventory I could fill/customize). This would also be useful in having varied enemies of the same type (ie: 3 different bandits could use 3 different weapons, all in one character sheet).
Perhaps a different version of this would be allowing DMs to customize monster stat blocks more thoroughly, though this feels like it would be more work for you. Maybe my cultist uses a magic weapon--I'd like to be able to add that item to the monster stat block.
Thank you so much for your hard work. I'm still looking forward to the shared inventory that was in development before the acquisition.

You can create a Homebrew creature based on any existing creature as a template, and then give them whatever weapons and abilities you want. I do it all the time. Once, I created a "Variant Noble" monster stat block in the Homebrew section and gave them 5 different weapons; Rapier, Longsword, Shortsword & Dagger, Light Crossbow, Flail. To keep track of who was who in the VTT I was using I named the Nobles Ralph, Lawrence, Sadie, Lucy, and Frank.
One stat block, 5 different enemies, very little fuss.
One of the things I would love to see is a better build out of the My Campaigns sections.
For example, I currently write out my session in Google Docs, so I have access anywhere I need them. I tend to write them out on my computer, and use my ipad during our sessions. Because I have to have the google doc, Syrinscape and DnD Beyond open, it slows everything down switching between items.
I would love to have the option to write out the separate sessions for a campaign, and be able to embed the encounters into them, instead of just having private/public notes. As it is, I tend to take screenshots of the monster stat blocks and paste them into my google doc.
To recap:
Session writing section for a campaign, separate from the Private/Public notes.
The ability to embed the built encounters into the session that is written.
I also wanted to second the idea of being able to classify specific homebrew content to a specific campaign.

Hello there Stuart_Mahal,
There already is an option to download your character sheet/s and use it/them offline. https://www.dndbeyond.com/player-app

I was going to suggest adding a virtual tabletop for dynamic maps, but these are all great ideas!

Filter on character sheet to blend out spellsthat require concentration (so you don't have to see them when you are already holding concentration)
