As discussed in some of the recent dev updates, we now have a portal for you to share and vote for feature requests on D&D Beyond. Voting on the shared requests will help us prioritize the roadmap in 2019 and beyond.
Keep in mind this is one input - we will use the feedback we receive from all sources to make the calls on what we work on, but this is a great place to let your voice be heard.
NOTE: The portal is available through our support platform (Zendesk) and requires a registered Zendesk account to use. Please keep in mind that this is only one input that we use to prioritize the backlog and collecting information in this way works well for some users but not others. You can always post your feedback here on the forums and it will be reviewed as always.
2. My DnD Beyond / Twitch login does not allow me to participate.
3. At this time, we have received ZERO information about user ID's, changes, etc. with the sale of Curse by Twitch...
This actually sounds like voting on 2019 prioritization is important. Too bad DnDBeyond does not appear to want to educate or make it easy for long term users to participate.
I don't want to sound angry, just ask, as someone that has spent a fair amount of money here since day 1, to be treated with respect, given a route that does not require multiple user Id's (with related security risks), and better instructions to simply use and provide feedback on how to improve the tools I pay for.
Sorry if this is confusing or out of order, but please consider our position...

So, take that with the full frustration it is intended, because I wasted more time on this than I now fear it was worth.....

Agree with windrunner -- cannot do poll, as it is a different login, and is extremely confusing -- does not allow for a reset password if you cannot remember your password (and my password saver has no clue which site you are using to trigger its memory of which password to offer.) so cannot do poll.

Sincere apologies for any confusion - to be perfectly honest I thought the Zendesk registration/ login flow would work without any issues.
Since I was wrong in that assumption (sorry!), I have edited the original post to hopefully make it clearer what's happening:
NOTE: The portal is available through our support platform (Zendesk) and requires a registered Zendesk account to use. Please keep in mind that this is only one input that we use to prioritize the backlog and collecting information in this way works well for some users but not others. You can always post your feedback here on the forums and it will be reviewed as always.
I'll emphasize the last part - if this portal does not work for you as it does for others, please continue to share your feedback here in the forums and it will be seen and considered.
I assure you that no disrespect was (or ever will be) intended. We simply learned about this functionality in our support platform and thought it would be helpful to utilize it. There's no way we would want to spend our own development resources to re-invent the wheel for something like this, so we decided to rely on the already-built feature in that platform. If you choose not to create that Zendesk account, please remember that you are not missing out on anything - it's just a way for us to gather more information than we would without it.
I also can completely confirm that this portal has nothing at all to do with the recent news about us joining Fandom. The only changes coming for your D&D Beyond account is that we will provide alternate login methods in addition to Twitch in 2019.
I wanted to add that Zendesk is a support platform, which many major companies use for its high quality support tools. Unfortunately, because it is a separate platform, it does require a separate login. On the plus side, that login will work for any of Zendesk's many clients, not just D&D Beyond.

I was wondering if it would be possible to add the ability to create folders in the My Characters tab. Especially for The Dungeon Master Tier. It would make it easier to organize NPCs
A place to add DM notes to a character in one of your campaigns would be nice. I know you can add notes to the campaign as a whole, but individual notes would be useful.
As we wait for encounter builder (that hopefully will emerge to become a larger scale campaign management feature), I wanted to simplistically add monster / NPC stat blocks right in the DM notes. That saves a lot of re-typing to achieve contextual access to the relevant stat blocks for a given encounter. Figured since stat blocks can be added to character sheets it should be a small thing to add the code snippet to make a stat block show up in the private DM notes. The tool tip gets annoying since you have to constantly have to "mouse over" and you don't that an easy overview of all the monsters / NPCs in an encounter.
So instead of istrid horn just creating a tool tip, what can be done to make it actually insert the stat block itself?
Sorry if this topic has already been covered elsewhere! Cheers!
Yes, I love all those green "planned" markers, too!
So, I too could not actually log in to the poll to vote. I ended up creating a completely new login for Zendesk, and then I put in a support request about not being able to log in to support. I did screenshots and the whole nine yards for them. Insert rage rant here about time and money and all that. My guess is that it has something to do with handing off login credentials between different systems.
Really liked seeing all those planned features. Here are some suggestions. I didn't add them to the poll with my new account because I really don't want to track multiple identities.
1. The per campaign character limits are really screwy. Nine characters in a campaign just really really sucks. My players like having numerous characters, and we have several campaigns. It would be really nice to 1) count ACCOUNTS, not CHARACTERS. 2) Maybe some option to pay (a hopefully nominal amount) to add additional characters. This is really almost a deal breaker for me. The character generation and content sharing is fantastic. But when we can't have the characters we want, it sucks.
2. Stay fast. D&D Beyond is really generally quite fast and a pleasure to use. Don't ever change it.
3. Stay 5E only. I love that D&D Beyond is devoted to 5E only.
4. Keep improving the character generator. That thing is amazing. I've seen my share of chargens, and if anyone knows of one that's even in the same ballpark, let me know. Keep making it better.
5. Better site search and filtering. It's good, but it's not really good. Example, I'd like to be able to search or exclude single or sets of rulebooks.
6. Keep improving the site. I like the site, but always room for improvement. It is a pleasure to use, mostly. Example: on a search, the top 40% of the screen is taken up with the black bar, then a couple inches of "Search", "Search Results", and the ribbon of giant icons (All Results, etc.). At the same time, the left and right margins take up another 40% of the screen. Meaning that my actual search results are limited to less than half the screen real estate. Yeah, yeah, I know, different devices, blah, blah, blah. Just telling you, I want it all, I want it fast, and I want my screen to be just FILLED with information.
7. Online map sharing. This should have a super-easy onramp. The user should be able to use it in all these scenarios:
1) Shared whiteboard. Good drawing tools. Just a way to share a screen on the internet and say, "The monsters are here, trees here, good guys here." We currently use Roll20 for this. It's okay, but I would love that functionality in DNDB.
2) Gridded map. Draw or import a map, have a grid. Measurement, tokens, etc. We use Roll 20 for this, but man, it is super-complicated.
3) Character linking, character features show on screen. The holy grail.
8. Campaign content sharing. An easy way to share pictures and documents. We use Roll 20 and Discord for this.
I was able to login, but there were no voting options. Even going in to the individual posts and trying to use up arrow didn't allow a vote to register. Might be because I'm clueless, certainly wouldn't rule that out. User error is usually a factor with me.
You would use the up/ down voting area (highlighted in the screenshot below). If that doesn't appear for you, then something very strange is going on and let us know.

totally user error, all squared away and feeling silly.
One thing I would like to see added to the sight is a search filter for certain abilities and/or key phrases, at least in the monster area. For example, I am currently looking for monsters with the ability to polymorph to use as inspiration and/or a stat block for a homebrew monster I plan on making, but the closest thing I can find to help me narrow down my search is looking at monsters with the 'shapechanger' tag (and my friends and I both know of a few monsters with that ability that aren't shapchangers, like an Oni for example). Not sure if something like this would be easy or hard to integrate, or if there is already something like this (if there is, sorry and please let me know how to look up stuff like this). I think a feature would be really useful for people trying to create their own monsters.
I've been wishing for an idea portal for D&DB for a long time (acknowledging that the forums have been and still will be a valuable, aggregated source of input). What a totally rockin' surprise to start the new year with. Thank you for always engaging with the community.

"There is a wide world out there, my friend, full of pain, but filled with joy as well. The former keeps you on the path of growth, and the latter makes the journey tolerable." --Montolio Debrouchee
I’d like to see being able to filter items, monsters, spells, etc. based on a combination of results that have x criteria and that don’t have y criteria instead of being limited to results that have x criteria.
For example, monsters that don’t have a fly speed or spells that are on the Wizard spell list but not the warlock spell list.
Here is my wish list. The top one is critical enough for me to go back to pen/paper, using this only for item/spell/monster look-ups.
Option to disallow character sheet sharing in campaigns. [EDIT] : This is actually an option already if one sets their character to private again (as adding it to or creating it within a campaign seems to "unset" or ignore that setting). It seems like it should still be the default behavior (private from the start), but perhaps I am the minority here or perhaps this was a one-off.
This is an extreme amount of 'meta' info that doesn't need to be shared by default. Players should be able to see each other's name and picture by default, but then let the players and/or DM determine what else to share (e.g. level/class/race, base sheet w/ stats, or everything).
Reduce the number of actions needed to get to a page through the Search Bar.
Change the search bar to show "exact matches" that take the user directly to the page, or at least allow clicking on entries in the search suggestions drop-down to instantly transition pages. Currently, to search for Charm Monster, I start typing it out, click or "TAB'ing" to it in the search suggestions, then hit enter or return to be actually kick off the search, and then click the result I want in the search results. That's three or four steps to get to my destination when it should be two at Max (start typing 'Charm Monster', then click on the 'exact match' from the drop down to instantly throw me to that page).
In Practice: Go to Google.com, start typing in "pug puppy", find the match in the search suggestions before you finish the string, and then click on it. Notice how this is two simple steps? This would be an ideal user<-->system search.
While I understand the information can come from various sources (e.g. "the database", Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, etc), but when the information on PHB and DMG are exactly what "the database" provides, why isn't that an 'exact match' option?
Community driven custom tags.
The ability for us to be able to enter custom tags on most all things (e.g. monsters, items, spells) would DRAMATICALLY improve our ability to be efficient and diverse. Specifically, let's say I need creatures that prefer caves. Sure, Underdark exists, but using Underdark for a simple cave is akin to using a cargo ship to transport the week's groceries for a house of two people. I mean, yeah, the cargo ship DOES transport stuff, but its not really the same thing as a small car, bicycle, or similarly reasonable sized vehicle. Searching for things with "Cave" or "Underground" community tags may bring up goblins, some orcs, giant bats, etc etc. That would make building encounters or monster lists vastly more efficient without any real developer "labor hours".
Sub Note #1: The tags could provide an "up" or "down" arrow when hovering over, to provide a lightweight voting system to help filter out nonsense. If some goon were to place the tags "Divine", "Palace", and "Summoned" on an Orc Dungshoveler, the community could easily cause those tags to be ignored/removed/etc with enough votes against them.
Sub Note #2: The tags could be restricted to a few categories for sanity (e.g. Location, Behavior, Origin, Combat Style [solo or team/coven], etc) and they could be enabled optionally as "No community tags", "Only Highly Voted Community Tags", or "Show All".
It would be amazingly beneficial to create a named list or collection to allow us to 'add' items, monsters, or specific spells (e.g. trap) for quick referencing. I can currently build a list manually through the DM notes, though it takes considerable effort and time to do so. Additionally, unless the object of my search is newer (last ~6 months), it's usually faster for me to use other resources (see #2 above) for references or a "link list" of things with URLs hyperlinked behind, like this Amulet of Health or this Mirror Hag.
A great example of this is how any MMORPG handles a "master loot", in which a single player (::coughDMcough::) can right click an item on the loot window, select the group/role, and then click on the player to receive it. In this example, having a simple "C" icon that functions similarly for which campaigns the user is a DM.
Changelog of any changes made to characters in a campaign.
Specifically, I would absolutely love the ability to see a private log as a DM *OR* PLAYER of any changes made to a character(s). Expended spell slots, changed spells, added/removed gold, adjusted stats, etc etc. Right now, it's effectively 'wide open' in that players who migrated their characters to D&D Beyond pretty much needed to use Manual mode to fill in values. It doesn't have to be so minute as every minor gold/health change is logged with time, date, and phase of the moon...but having nothing does make it hard when an item is "misplaced" between characters and I, as the DM, need to dig through my document in Google Notes to figure out who took it from "me" (the corpse/chest/etc).
Side Note: I realize trust is a large part of this, as we are not playing a video game, but it would be helpful in figuring out honest (and dishonest) mistakes.
The option for a DM to override class or level restrictions on spells/abilities.
While I will admit this is absolutely a corner case, the ability to manually add special abilities or non-class spells from some RP related event would be utterly fantastic. I do see that it may be possible to achieve this override via a custom item, but it feels kind of "duct tape"-y to add a junk item to allow the spell restrictions to be bypassed.
In example: Through some hilarious shenanigans in the campaign I lead, one of the characters has a cleric cantrip available to them. I cannot find a way to add this without manually typing the info in their notes section or giving them a junk "placeholder" item to bring the cantrip visible in their list of spells/abilities/doodads.
Provide quick "source of bonuses" tooltip when mousing over a proficiency bonus.
As myself and the people I play D&D with are just converting to D&D Beyond, we did encounter some difficulty in tracking down the source of all of the bonuses. We knew where they were from through the details on our paper character sheets, but it struck me as odd that I couldn't simply hover over say Acrobatics to see +X from a class bonus, +Y from a feat, and +Z from the Dexterity modifier.
Hello again everyone!
