What about a more advanced, versatile, and intuitive homebrew system? That way if there is a feature that we feel would be good to add, we can make it ourselves extremely quickly rather than the long slog it currently is. I don’t know about the rest of you, but the current system seems counterintuitive in regards to formatting and such.
What I would love is the ability to tag users such as this:@Davyd
One should still be able to ignore a specific person, or ignore tags in general, but it could be useful on the fourms in some places

My cults are dead, let's talk about myself where they used to be. I am The_cool_Elsecaller, a transfem lesbian who is still in the closet to all but a few people I know IRL. I enjoy video games, reading, writing, and sleeping. Feel free to PM me if you want writing advice or just want to talk.

Would it be possible to add CET/CEST to the digital release times posted by moderators? We are usually one hour behind UK, and it would make Europeans feel more appreciated as customers. (Double post, because I am not sure what the correct thread is)
Yes PLEASE! I have hombrew firearms and weapons that we can never use because of this. Doesn't seem like adding custom equipment should be too difficult. A name, instructions, a tag, and an option to list it as an attack (with custom hit bonuses and damage dice) doesn't seem too hard. Most of those features are already available for magic items.
This might not be the place to ask, but I have bought hardcover copies of the Player's Handbook, Monster Manual, Dungeon Master's Guide, and Xanathar's Guide To Everything. The difficulty is that I cannot access any of the information from them in D&D Beyond. Is there a way to get the app to let you access the books you bought in "real" form? Or am I out of luck?

Unfortunately, you can not unlock online data of books you physically have purchased already. New releases they offer bundles to get both in one transaction.
What my group did was all pitch in to unlock everything we wanted in the dungeon master's account.
Or if you are willing to be tedious, you could make "copies" of the content you are after by re making the items, monsters, subclasses, or races you want in the homebrew builder.

I know it's not exactly the same, but if you really want an immediate workaround, you could always just make the items as magic items, then add text in the description like "this IS NOT a magic item, but mundane equipment costing $$$."
Yes, I get it, this was an oversight, but at least you'll be able to share the equipment with your group and add it on your sheets without having to have everyone create a bunch of custom items.
It would be really nice if there was a way to make notes directly linked to things in the sourcebooks. This could be a feature in the campaign or encounter builders or just a basic feature in the books. I feel people who have bought books physically do this all the time but there is no way to do this digitally.

Okay. Knowing is enough for me. And if it comes to pass that I join a group, I will certainly be happy to pitch in (subject to my relative poverty, anyway). The situation is a shame but unsurprising. Thank you.
I am still trying to untangle all of the techniques involved in using the Beyond app so that I can have a character or two ready for groups.
has there been any talk of adding the ability to add custom weapons? My GM has house ruled that a pistol is 2d4 damage (exploding dice) but i am stuck with custom attack, which is useless for my new +1 pistol.

There has been, but it's a really long thread. Probably best to search for a thread dedicated to that for feedback... or start one if you can't find one. I guess it's good to voice it here as well just in case they're actually paying attention.

There was one on which I commented mutiple times, but I can't find it now. Seems like it has been deleted. IDK, I may be lost but there was also a dev forum I can no longer locate wherein this topic was covered ad nauseam. I hope I am just totally overlooking something, like a complete fool, but I can't even find it in my thread history. I'm feeling rather paranoid right now.

it does not feel like anyone is paying attention, maybe just have to be that guy that posts repeatedly the same topic
Reportedly Wizards is working on making their own VTT with D&DB integration.
It was a whole thing for a while, 'cause they made a stink about stuff to try and make third-party VTTs less interesting to play 5e on. Banning animations and stuff. The internet were mad.

Isn't this already a feature - Homebrew?

There is following and direct messages, would this accomplish your purposes?
You want to ignore the moderator? I wouldn't expect that to be an option on any forum.

Would it be possible for dnd b to have a feature with an in built battle map, personally I think that would be really helpful for players.
