I am creating a homebrew subclass for the Paladin's Oath of Treachery. The last thing I'm trying to finalize is how to organize its Aura of Treachery feature. Here is the ability:
Starting at 7th level, you emanate an aura of discord, which gives you the following benefits.
Cull the Herd. You have advantage on melee attack rolls against any creature that has one or more of its allies within 5 feet of it .
Treacherous Strike. If a creature within 5 feet of you misses you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to force the attacker to reroll that attack against a creature of your choice that is also within 5 feet of the attacker . The ability fails and is wasted if the attacker is immune to being charmed.
You can use this ability three times. You regain expended uses of it when you finish a short or long rest.
As you can see, Cull the Heard is a "special" action while Treacherous Strike is a reaction. My current breakdown in the homebrew builder is as follows:
Subclass: Oath of Treachery
>>
Class Feature: Aura of Treachery
>>
Actions: Cull the Heard, Treacherous Strike
I would like to keep the two options for Aura of Treachery separate for cleaner organization in the final character sheet. Thus Cull the Heard will show up under the Special Actions area and Treacherous Strike will show up under the Reactions area. This part of my organization has been complete.
Here is where I am stuck. I need the usage boxes, three, under each of the two options to be linked. i.e. If Treacherous Strike is used as a Reaction, Cull the Heard also displays a check usage box.

Hmmm, tricky - as you've seen, the capacity to add limited uses is part of the action itself, rather than the parent feature.
The only way I can see to make this work is to have just a single action (probably with type special) that lists both abilities and has 3 uses.

Unfortunately, that is the conclusion I came to as well. It works, I just wanted it to be more professionally complete.
