I see the menus are in force, but in Classes can we get the line break and Blood Hunter back? Mostly I want this because of the Artificer UA which I assume would be right above it.
I agree with this. My current main Character is a blood hunter and would be nice to get this on the main Mega Menu for Game Rules Classes
Not sure if this has been addressed, so hopefully I'm not repeating anything.
I was browsing through homebrew tonight and realized that there isn't a way to sort homebrew races from subraces and variants. Navigating via the Creations menu brings you straight to the races listing, but I can't find a way to see the listings for the subraces and variants. Is there a direct link or way to navigate that I'm missing?
Mega menus do NOT work in Internet Explorer 11 (on Windows 10).

Yeah, that's unfortunate, but IE 11 is not one of our supported browsers and we are not going to be able to spend time doing much to address something that old.
We have 0.4% of our users that use that browser and version, and we are confident that the recent news that Microsoft is going with a Chromium solution for edge means that IE will be sunset (and 11 is due to be sunset in less than a year anyway).
I hypothesize you're stuck with that in a heavily-controlled environment at work, and I empathize, but we have to draw the line somewhere to ensure we're using our resources most effectively.
NOTE: You will need to setup a zendesk account (which is not your DnDBeyond.com account, the team uses this 3rd party software). It's easy to do and your votes are needed!

Personally I am not a fan of the "hover brings up the menu" functionality. Let me click it, please. Otherwise the damn menus keep popping up in front of me while I am just moving my mouse around. Then there is a LOT of real estate on my screen that I have to move my mouse off of before it will go away. This is very distracting and annoying.
Is there a setting on my account settings or something that would allow me to turn this feature off? I don't see one, but that would allow you to leave this feature for those who want it, and let those of us who don't want it turn it off.

We appreciate the feedback on hover versus click, and your personal preference actually aligns with most of the UX research that is out there for general website standards.
Of course, general website standards do not always apply to specific websites and specific communities, and in this case, we have seen to this point after the initial mega menu release that a large portion of the feedback provided was "do not add more clicks, remove more," which led to us keeping hover in on desktop for now. We simply didn't want to add another click.
That's not to say that we won't change that stance in the future. We will likely even gather some direct feedback here, Twitter, Discord, etc. to guide that decision.
For the last few weeks, we wanted to change as few variables as we could while incorporating feedback in order to make sure we know what's working and what isn't.
Hope some of that made sense, it's late in my part of the world. Thanks!
Thoughts on having a taskbar style hover mini menu? particularly when you have scrolled a long way down the page, or like here in the forums, you have to get all the back to the top for the menu.. (or down for the static footer links)
I will say that the hover gets aggravating when I am not trying to open the menu but accidentally slide over it and would probably prefer clicks but I also understand wanting less clicks.

It's really, really nice work. You eliminated every shortcoming the previous navigation had, and made the site a hell of a lot easier.
The only request I have is a very slight tweak for usability, a Fitt's Law thing.
Sometimes, when I am in the Character Builder, I try to mouse up to the top menu bar, overshoot, and accidentally pull down the Mega menu. I then have to pull the mouse way down again, wait, then move up again - caaaaaarefully.
I know in Javascript there's a way to measure how long the pointer is over the menu region, and define a time for how quickly to invoke the menu, and a few other things. Would you consider playing with those values a bit, so if a pointer moves over the main navigation, then quickly moves away and down, that the mega-menu doesn't spring out so quickly? I don't think it needs to be much of a change.
I do notice it happening much more frequently here than on other sites with similar setups, so it's not just me and my age and lack of coordination. The fact that they are in one thick black menu bar with very little visual distinction between the clickable areas contributes, too.
I think the better solution to that problem would be that you have to click to bring up the menu. But as Adam mentioned just a couple of posts up, they decided against adding more clicks.
Some have already mentioned they perceive an extra wait before the menu is displayed, and that's likely because it's being populated on the fly rather than being static. Adding more time would not be a good solution, imho.I would prefer an extra click.
Absolutely, I agree. Although I don't want to make assumptions on why certain decisions has been made by the team, or their prioritization of work. I merely wanted to comment on the fact that this particular solution of adding a wait is probably not going to be to everyones taste (which can be said of the whole Mega Menu ofc)
I do think the problem you describe is worthy of solving one way or the other, since it's sort of the same problem which in part made the Mega Menus happen.

I have noticed that they already implemented a timeout on the hover event - meaning once your mouse is over this area, there is a built-in delay on exposing the menu. I believe I even noticed that they increased the amount of delay slightly in the past few weeks (probably due to feedback like this). Each time I see someone asking for this type of feature, to me the only simple solution is to continue increasing the delay. I think they need to draw the line at some point, but there will always be someone who wishes it was longer/shorter... just know that they've obviously already tried their best to calibrate it to the best fit for the masses =)
LOVE the site, love the care that's gone into the front end design and development, and love all of you at DDB!
I do have a tiny suggestion for your navigation menus: In small viewports (mobile device size) on your menu nav, please consider adding a "tapped" state to your menu links, maybe leveraging ontouchstart? This would help to overcome a minor annoyance for me...
Often, I will open the menu on my phone, tap through to a submenu link, ex: Game Rules > Class > Barbarian, and upon tapping the link, it begins to load the next page with no visual feedback telling me whether I hit the right link, fat-fingered it, or otherwise bungled my attempt to properly select it. Sometimes I'm not sure until 1 to 5 sec later with the page reloads. I'm mainly using Chrome on iOS, if it helps.

How about just letting me click in the empty space to make the drop down menu go away? That would be an improvement.

Yeah, there is a level of subjectivity here, and - being a UX practitioner myself - I understand the burden of being so open to so many picky people. But, seeing how data-driven they are, I bet there's plenty of analytics behind the tweaking.
But, yeah, you're right - I haven't had an issue with the menu popping down for a little while at all and never realized it.
Any chance of getting a "create new character" link back in the Creations menu? That was actually the main thing I used the menu for and it's really been throwing me off to not have it.

No problem. What about the Edge Browser however? I believe that is new and up-to-date here.
Want to see Virtual Table Top like no other before it built within DnDBeyond.com? Upvote the feature request. It's 2nd highest voted so far:

The Edge browser is apparently moving over to Chromium, meaning it will probably be the same compatibility as Chrome.

The population issue can be solved by preloading the assets. That stuff can be streamed in behind the scenes no problem.
There are other ways you can do it - on one project we added a region below that if the mouse left too quickly, it would cancel the menu.
Good menus have all sorts of little optimizations like these that don't affect the perceived speed.
