Since this post is 5 years old, I think it's clear at this point that this is a feature, not a bug. I assume the reasoning is that someone in charge thinks you will see a cool thing then buy the content in order to access it. Basically, they are intentionally making your experience worse in hopes that you will pay to improve it.
i really like to use dnd beyond but actually usable search function and filters for owned content would be greatly appreciated since it diminishes the experience a lot if you have to search for 5 minutes instead with one click...
Go back a couple pages. Someone found a viable workaround. I am stupid with computers and figured it out. It's a bit annoying, but once you get it set up, it works great.

The worst part of this plan is that the more content they add, the worse it gets.
