I would love a comprehensive note-taking and adventure design system. I currently write my dungeons up in google docs, and the notion of being able to do that but take advantage of the amazing tooltip and hyperlinking in DDB is a very exciting notion.
This can be as simple as the ability to lock chapters of adventures, classes, races, spells, monster blocks, and magic items I realize that if my players buy the content that they can just view it themselves, but if they can't do it directly through the campaign, I'm making it harder on them to "cheat"
Absolutely! I want the ability to 'block out' some of the content for the adventure modules - the material NOT pertinent to the players. I don't want them reading ahead about Strahd!
In the character builder, especially for Master Tier Dms and such who might build a bunch of NPCs, it would be great to be able to move around or set an order to your created characters, group them, either by campaign they are in or alignment or class or whatever you want, filter by level maybe. Drag and drop into order. Thoughts?

Yup. What I envision doing would be, say, taking Curse of Strahd (current adventure for my group) and hitting a button labeled something like "Create Campaign" or "Run Adventure" and have it create a living copy of the adventure for me to tweak things I need to. Examples would be like actually entering where the treasures are, deleting events I've opted to not use, remove and/or move critters that are killed or relocated, alter NPCs that I want changed (I'm completely changing the "mad mage" in CoS to do something I find interesting, and redoing a couple subplots).
That same sort of structure would be usable for creating custom adventures, if nothing was imported. Heck, you could even release adventures as home brew content, which could be amazing.
I would like a way to share the Homebrew content I personally created to those in my Campaign that can't add public content (free subscribers).
Public Mod Note
(Stormknight):
Please note that all homebrew that you create is already shared with any campaign you create - this occurs as a default.
I want to be able to create a bookmark folder, e.g. August 30 2017 Session - and set bookmarks to any item, map, monster, npc, particular pages/sections from the purchased adventure e.g. PotA - Scarlett Moon Hall, my notes, etc
While viewing content in an Adventure or the Compendium, etc, have "Add Bookmark" as an option, which then prompts for which folder to add it in, or the option to create a new folder.
This would allow me to create a list of things I will likely need for an upcoming session (or need to brush up on prior to the session); saving a lot of time at the table looking things up.
Some sort of random generators would be great for things like encounters and treasure hoards. It would save alot of time and take some grunt work out of dming.
I just realized you can do this. Simply type skeleton. And so on...
Cool. If oddly hidden or under-hyped.
Anyways, I'll throw my lot in with a focus on better format and the ability to create multiple pages underneath a campaign so as to better sort out DM notes and the like.
Edit: I was responding to my own post lamenting the lack of pop up stuff in the campaign section. You can do this by typing [M0nster[NAME[/m0nster] or [Sp3ll]NAME[/Sp3ll].
Public Mod Note(Stormknight): Private homebrew IS shared with the campaign, without publishing that homebrew. This has been the case since beta testing.
The ability to share homebrew content with others in the campaign without going through making it fully public. Ability for players to add homebrew to the campaign's homebrew collection without making it public.
Ability to share this selectively so only certain non-dm players can read them (ie. only the man with the magic sword can read that it's actually cursed)

I have to say I'm not at all fond of the idea that a single character can only be in one campaign. There are lots of players who like to play their characters in other campaigns, or take their character everywhere with them, like with the AL. I would like this limitation removed. Thank you.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I'm not - nor was I ever - your "obstacle" until you've deemed me as such, nor am I your wallet, my hard earnt money is not yours by deault.
Je suis Consumer - We are the foundation, the floor beneath your rug. our support is the fate of every retail product, business, and franchise. for success you need support.
I will always miss what you were, but I will never miss what you've become.
I want to see campaign archiving so that finished campaigns and characters can be locked up and saved. Hopefully these would not count towards the campaign/character limit.
Right now with encumbrance I have maybe 180lbs. Some things I can put into my bag of holding and then they don't count as encumbrance. In our current campaign we are travelling with a cart. We have put loads of heavy items into the cart which is pulled by a horse.
There is clearly a need for different inventories.
The ability to customize encounters or modify published campaign adventures. Increase up Goblins, add notes to curse of strahd, or even add a special note of an event to a campaign that we've unlocked.
Or even the ability rewrite the text box for a narrative.
If we unlock these campaigns, and we don't want to run them exactly the same time... and time... and time... and time again... we are going to need the ability to edit them some.
If I edit a players character in my campaign, it should notify them. Then I can give modifiers to their sheet without announcing it to the group. I.E. if they fail a save, I can modify an ability and they will notice without me saying what happened out loud.
Players should be able to make multiple characters per campaign. My players have two characters each. One per generation that interact with each other. But they cannot put them both in the same campaign. So I have to use two campaigns for one game. Total pain and I have to swap between them as we play.
Top to bottom things i find that are very important for this tool to work right now.
Concerning Adventure Modules:
Ability to share images and maps of your campaign with the players in your group. Maps should have a fog of war option that you can clear as needed, in parts.
A way to make notes in your adventure pages, or something similar.
The ability to click on the campaign map and be directed to that entry on the compedium.
Regarding the Rule Books:
Rule books at the compedium should reflect the exact same text as in the books. There are a few places where the text is a little diferent, this isn't acceptable. Specially if it changes a rule or supresses one.
Unearthed Arcana should be introduced as soon as possible. Most campaigns make full use of those options and they should be here.
Regarding general gameplay features:
A good and easy to use iniciative tracker, possibily with condition tracking and HP management for players and monsters.
Better tools for homebrewing creatures, right now it is just a bunch of text boxes to be filled.
Note: I read the instructions as one item per post, so if that's incorrect I'll edit to put them all in one post.
Faction Management
- Description of faction - Linkable list to NPC info page of known members (using the wiki idea) and any related regions/cities in the campaign - Reputation tracker for individual players and the group as a whole - Ability for this to either be added/linked to the a character's sheet

1) Campaign organization similar to something like OneNote.
2) Robust NPC and villain creation.
3) Encounter builder.
4) Dungeon generator.
5) Treasure hoard and magic item and spell scroll generator.
6) Combat tracking (load PCs, NPCs, and monsters; track health, conditions, concentration, etc.; quick view of features, spells, and attacks).
7) Tavern, store, armory, weaponsmith, alchemist, and inn generator.
8) ROLL-ABLE TABLES!!!
9) PC tracking.
10) Sharing of information and chat.
11) Distributing items to PCs and between PCs.
