Hi guys. Sorry if this isn't the right area for this. I love using dndbeyond and was hoping to contribute to making it even better.
What do you guys think about an AL tag/flag/icon for AL stuff? Example, until I was made aware, I didn't know that Eladrin and the Aasimir Variant were not AL legal. I nice little icon would have been great to use especially for new players like me. What do you guys think?
Its a nice idea, however not sure how much use it will have in DDB at the moment, as those two you have just pointed out are the only 2 things on DDB outside of homebrew that are not AL legal (its because they were from the DMG as examples on how to build races and sub-races). However when DDB starting UA and 3rd party content then i absolutely think it will be needed.
However it might be a good idea to note for the time being that both of those that you mentioned are not AL legal on their character page.
On a similar note Badeye has mentioned that very soon, as apart of the character sheet revamp, that they will do a pass on AL legal verification and I'm sure these will be flagged in character creation as not being legal.

If I remember correctly, AL also discriminates against birdfolk.
