As of right now, there is no dedicated support for building Sidekicks. I've seen recommendations on the forums ranging from keeping track of it all separately offline to creating a 'Character' built like the sidekick you'd like and adding it to the campaign. Hopefully, DND Beyond will add a Sidekick Builder feature sometime soon.
Edit: They have confirmed that they will be adding Sidekick functionality to the site.
interestingly, they added "Sidekick" as a category of Extra you can add, but yeah no way to create them yet. Closest way would be a homebrew monster I suppose.
NOT having DnD Beyond support for sidekicks out of the gate with Tasha's Cauldron is a massive disapointment.
I really hope it is implemented soon and clearly announced.
Seconded. They had to have known, so it must be lower on a list of growing demands for changes. It’s a pretty awesome addition to the rules and I can’t think of a recent game or campaign where we didn’t have a NPC that could’ve fit in this new category.

Do you have a link to where they announced it? I've been googling but can't find anything :O

We don't currently have feature support for the sidekicks rules, as presented in Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything. We will be building a proper system to handle sidekicks in a flexible manner.
Not sure I understand. Side Kicks have been around since Dragon of Icespire. You can add them by going to Extras > manage Extras > Creature > Sidekick. You can even roll them to your VTT with Beyond20

The sidekicks provided in Dragon of Icespire Peak are pre-made sidekicks with fixed statblocks per level. Tasha's Cauldron of Everything introduces a system that lets make your own sidekicks by combining one of three archetypes with any CR 1/2 or lower creature, and then set the level. It's a much broader system than initially presented.

It's weird, because I can't add any sidekicks from Tasha's Cauldron content (which I have purchased on dndbeyond) on any of my individual characters I've created, but when one of those characters is in a campaign with a buddy of mine who also owns it (and content sharing is on), THOSE characters can add sidekicks. What gives?! Why don't I have access to it apart from content sharing from a friend? Since I bought it, I should have access to it from any character, in a campaign or not. My buddy even checked all his characters and he can add sidekicks to any of them...
There aren't any sidekicks within Tasha's, the book contains rules for turning any monster of CR 1/2 or lower into a sidekick. You will need to make the sidekick yourself and then add it to your character sheet.
What are those "experts," "spell casters," and "warriors" that you can add as a sidekick? I think you can add them from lvl 1 to 12? I had not seen those until Tasha's was released...

How do I create a sidekick character on DNDBEYOND?
There are no class options for “Expert”, “Warrior”, or “Spellcaster.” And there are no race options for using beasts or monsters.
Will I have to homebrew everything?

Seconding adding Sidekick options to Beyond.
I actually have a player who in our next game wants to play our Ranger's Pet.
This is the most obvious way to do this and I find myself disappointed that this isn't supported on the site.

The entire Extras tab could use some work, tbh. Ideally, your pets and sidekicks and summons would each have their own tab with an editable sheet.

Where is Extras?
in the set of tabs that starts with ACTIONS, SPELLS, EQUIPMENT, the rightmost one is EXTRAS.
Where was this confirmed and was there a timeline with it?
Thanks
