Today I bought and was very excited for Tasha's Cauldron.
I immediately delved into finally creating the new Beast Master Ranger with the Primal Companion option, however I cannot find that as an alternative option anywhere when creating the character sheet. Is this a bug or will this be added at a later date?
I would really like to use this new feature in the future.
Additionally, when using the Ranger Optional Class Features, Favored Foe doesn't replace Favored Enemy at level 6 and level 14 (which I don't think is how it's supposed to work), and you only gain the level 1 Deft Explorer benefit, not the Level 6 and 11 ones. Will this be fixed anytime soon?
Edit: also, on the character sheet version of a 6th level ranger I made, which is when the damage should scale to 1d6, the only thing it says is "scalevalue - No level scale data available", highlighted in red. Will add things as I discover them.
EDIT 2: Many people have brought this up this exact issue on the Tasha's support thread, and I'm sifting through it now to check if there's any mod response.
EDIT 3: As of November 19th, there is now an option under favoured foe that gives you three identical options for replacing favoured foe with, which correspond to the 3 levels of favoured enemy. now you can pick to replace either the level 1, 6, or 14 features-- but the other two will still be there, making this point moot. I've been testing on both new and adjusted character, and the problem carries over.

I believe it is because the Ranger level 20 feature relies on Favored enemy.
I never noticed, but RAW, yeah, it does. That's a huge oversight-- so if Favored Foe works the way its supposed to, ranger capstone means nothing? Wild.
The Favored Foe features marks the target as your Favored enemy. The level 20 capstone relies on the Favored Enemy language. So the capstone still does something - but now it only works on 6 targets a day instead of instead of 3 to 6 types of enemies
Have you all activated optional class features on your characters first creation page (edit character -> home tab) as well as activated the optional class features (edit character -> classes -> optional class features)?

Watching this...
Yes, I would love to see these alternative features added!

Primal Companion doesn't seem to be implemented yet?
So it isn't just me.

I miss the primal companion option too. Also the different action behavior which comes with the primal companion (if i remember correctly)

I'm interested in this too.
Watching this thread for updates. Currently playing a ranger that's getting to level 3 this week and want to make use of Primal Companion!

So far they have the same post from the Dev concerning the Primal Companion on the Tasha bug thread (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/bugs-support/87774-tashas-cauldron-of-everything-issues-and-support) :
No additional details on what that means, though. Hopefully they will be able to implement it. I'm hoping to use it as a fix for beast master.

I've been keeping an eye on that too. Just thought I'd help OP out by posting updates on specific updates.
Thanks to everyone who added and replied to my post!
Glad it's not just me and I'll watch this post to see when I can test out Primal Companions on a character.
interested in this as well!
