So I know that we're supposed to get a Sidekick system for NPCs, but are we ever getting them as normal character classes for the builder since they are supposed to be usable by players? Right now we can already create the NPC stat blocks if we really need them by using the Homebrew tools, but creating the classes themselves and using them on a character sheet is unfortunately impossible.
I don’t know if they’ve said it will be part of the character builder, but my understanding is that the system they build will allow players to see and interact with the sidekick “sheets”. If I have understood correctly, the sidekick section of Tasha’s is one of those pieces they only received from Wizards less than 3 weeks ago. There just wasn’t time to create the system before launch, especially not when there was so much other crunch that required significant code development to implement here.
I don't want to be mister negative here, buUut They've yet to implement the company positions from the Acquisitions Incorporated book so I wouldn't hold my breath for sidekicks.
I'll add my voice to the "How can we build Sidekicks in DnDB?" crowd. It seems odd that all the other character creation options are in DnDB, but no way to build Sidekicks. I actually need that capability for a campaign next week, thought it would be included, but.....
I'd like a way to make sidekick easily. Plz do it, there characteristic are super basic and should already all be developed as they are basic class feature from already existing class.
