Hey, would love to be able to offer a reaction to a forum post, be it an emoji, a +1, or a like thumb. Just participating in my first PbP game, and it feels more natural (and less disruptive to the flow) to be able to offer praise on a post without having to interrupt with a whole post that just say, "Awesome move, brah!"

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
There is already the ability to "give thanks" or +1 a comment - the Up arrow icon at the bottom of each comment, it also has a number tracker next to it to track how many times different users have clicked it.
Well, I can't. Is there some setting the thread creator has? Is there a difference when a thread is private? I'm not making it up, here's a screenshot:
Dropbox link (because linking a photo from Dropbox does not seem to work?)
Edit: Oh, I see what's going on. We are conversing in a private message thread, not in a forum thread. Thats... confusing. And thus, I was confused.
So, I guess, I'd like to be able to upvote private message threads?
Having given it further thought, I'd like to not dismiss my original post out of hand. Upvoting is a way to indicate the worth of a post, to tell others it is good and relevant to the topic. A reaction is not the same, exactly. I want to indicate appreciation for the poster, the content, the inspiration, the roll, what have you. An upvote just says one thing, this post is worthy in some way. I think they are different. FWIW. YMMV.

Be nice if that was added to the standard mobile interface and not just the landscape orientation which most people browsing text based media probably aren't utilizing...

Well, now I feel stupid. But I did just upvote your reply! :)
Edit: Wait no! Look! In the PbP forums, the posts don't have the upvote arrow. Maybe just turn that on?

I can see the upvotes on the play by post forums.

On a side note. On my mobile devise (iPhone 6) I can't upvote while in portrait view so simply have to swap to landscape to resolve. :)
