To be clear, I purchase Candlekeep as a gift, and the receiver has unlocked the book. But I was still able to download the book in the new app. Not that I'm complaining, I like the book and have thought about purchasing it for myself, but I have not done that yet.
If you have a character in a campaign where that sourcebook is being shared with you via a master level subscription, then you can access the book and download it via the app.
