I have recently noticed that any magic spells above the lowest level of that spell in the iPhone/iPad app will resort to the lowest level spell for the dice rolls. For example, a 5th level Fireball will still only roll the 3rd level 8d6 dice, and any cure wounds spell above the 1st level will still only do the 1d8+modifier dice roll. We've been using iPads for our character sheets (easy use for the younger warriors/spell users), but I started to see when they are casting higher level spells, they are only allowed to roll the lower dice rolls. I've tested this on different iOS devices and the results are the same. We have to open the character sheets in a web browser to get the full spell effect.
The spell scaling issue on iOS devices has been resolved in the latest app update - you'll need to ensure the app is up to date, but otherwise should see the correct scaling. Thanks again for reporting so we could resolve the bug!

Thank you for reporting this. We're going to take a look and fix it asap.
As an update to this topic, cantrips have the same issue as well.
A fix is underway and is going to be rolled out within a few days. Thank you for your patience.
